I like to know what people think about mines and the way the engineer gets punished if someone of the same team drives over them.
Personally I don’t agree with this as It dose not matter where a person lays them, no matter how much thought is placed they are always held responsible for the death of another team mate.
I’ve seen players regularly run over blatant mines paying no heed to the warnings shown upon there screen let alone when warned by the player that laid them.
I don’t bother with them anymore which is a shame as they can come in really handy when used right.
I saw one player run into them just because they where ****ed off about having to head back the way they came even though the mines where stopping the enemy from heading round the rear of our main spawn point.
This happened three times…
This fella was only in for five minutes and never saw how those few well placed mines where saving our bacon each time the enemy tried to flank or rear with armour.
The engineer did not know if he should place anymore and soon enough we had armour tearing us from home base.
No one needed to use that rout but still…
I find it quite easy to spot friendly mines unless I’m in a fire fight or just not thinking and I find it a bit off that the person that laid them takes a major penalty for my lack of judgment let alone some guy that has a vendetta…
What does anyone else think?
