Re: Missing maps in singleplayer
I felt compelled to register and make a post letting anyone who is interested in single player and COOP, that there is a thriving community that can be found here at BattleFieldSinglePlayer...
Specifically, in the BF2 discussion, you will find many players who are fed up with the online bugs, no teamwork servers, or just have a slow connection who are very interested in offline, single player play. As for myself, I am a working adult with a family who has a hard time dedicating my self to online play when I might just want a thirty minute BF2 fix. Personally, the bots are somewhat challenging and I enjoy the freedom of playing the maps I want. At my office, we love the WCC COOP mod and enjoy getting a couple of us, and our bot teammates in some quick after hours games. No internet servers needed.
Also, one of the admins at BFSP, Korben Dallas recently had an interview with the devs at DICE sweden in regards to SP and the AI and navmesh tools. That can be found here...
In it you will find that DICE is set to release the AI navmesh tools in order to allow larger singleplayer map sizes and to allow for bot play on custom maps. These tools are coming in the new BF2 editor.
So be sure and come by if you are at all interested in BF2 singleplayer or COOP.
Thanks,
