Its similar to the RPK, RPK is great IMO.

The way you're describing it is correct, very similar to G36c.

Only problem I've noticed it doesn't kill as fast at rpk and that IT MUST BE AIMED for best results. It a good weapon for spraying but the RPK is much better at spraying. The great bonus is that the MG comes with 3 shot burst. Fantastic. Imo MG = RPK nasty cousin.

all the new guns are practically variations of the g36c

No support gun will ever beat the Type 95, though, to me, the MG 36 actually feels very similar. Perhaps its just that the Type 95 feels good to me, but I can use if much more effectively than any other MG in the game.

Too bad the PLA and their weapons got dropped in expansion.

The Type95 is the same rof, accuracy, recoil etc. as the SAW (i've checked the INI files, don't worry). But, it has half the mag that the SAW does, making it not good, the only good thing about it is it has the best reload time of ALL mgs. Te SAW has the slowest reload time, but i reload all the time, as i have 200 round belts, and unlimited ammo. And i agree with BearCare, the SAW has shear amount of rounds, PKM has shear damage, and MG36 has accuracy.

I can't seem to hit sh*t in this game with anything other than the MEC mg, and even then with limited success. At long range its too inaccurate, at short range too long to get into position and the rifles are better. Being effective with a weapon for me is knowing it's killing range, and I'm having extreme difficulties finding it with the mgs. Anyone super good with them feel free to offer me advice on how you get your kills.

I'm not "super good" but I'll comment anyway. For kills, these weapons excel at relatively close range and their advantage is their magazine capacity. Maps like Sharqi are great for this weapon, especially in the streets/alleyways/staircases/holes in fences of the forward US bases. Use them at natural map choke points and hope you have a squad come along. It helps if you have a buddy with you to watch your back. I've taken out a whole squad as they topped the second set of steps coming from the Hotel base to the Construction site. Watching the bodies stack up like cord wood is pretty cool.

Yeah,i agree. Anyways, i am what somebody could call super good, or close to it. If you go long range at all, you always MUST use the PKM or the MG36 or else it's not going to work out. FOr short range, the best weapons are the SAW, Type 95 or the MG36. ANd yeah, go for choke points, a small alley is great, just wait for enemies to come, and let er rip.

ill agree with u i like the mg36 a lot...
but i like the scarl ill admit it aint as accurate but its good enough, does more damage...
its main advantage imo is that its better for close range...

but defo i like the support class a lot more now cos of the mg36...
