Hi
Ever since i installed SF and 1.12 i am having real dificulties playing BF2 with severe lag, graphics and sound glitches, hard-drive lock-ups during map change and while playing.... it's the worst cenario over here
I tried everything:
-Punkbuster update and sleep time to 500, new Gfx and audio drivers, fresh bf2 install, tweaked graphics to every possible res, lowered audio to software render, lowered bf2 memory priority, max bf2 memory priority....... well... everything i could possibile find "googling" the net. But i still have problems playing on multiplayer.
So ...i tested this:
Started SF, created a new singleplayer account and upped all my gfx to High Mode and loaded a map (1024x768 ). Use rendered.drawfps command and i was playing beatifull with 30 to 60 FPS.
So, i went online to test this. I choose any good ping server with 16/32 or 64 player and i simple could not play anything. Lag, choped sound and glitch.
So i tested the oposite.
Lowered my graphics to LOW and 800x600. On singleplayer i can get almost 100FPS without any loss.
but i went online and again the same problem .
So... whats the answer for the discrepancy betwen multiplayer or singlepayer ?
Is this a bug ? a bad code? my PC not power enough for online ? i cant find an answer
My specs:
Acer1694 2GHZ Intel Sonoma Centrino 533MHZ Bus, 1GB DDR2 RAM, X700 PCI-E 16x 128MB, 100GB hardisk ( i believe its 5400rpm, not sure )
I usualy play CSS and DoD Source on max settings and HDR and all that fancy stuff and never experienced so much FPS diferences betwen online and single player.
I used to play bf2 online smoothly ..but ever since SF and 1.12 i just...lag
Thanks for your reply
