Re: The one kit you wish your team always had more of...

I was in a 4 man squad as a medic in Mushtaar last night that seemed to be able to handle any situation.

    1 med - me
    2 anti tank
    1 support

Anti tank rounds and nades go fast so the support person was a huge help. The m16 as a medic is a pretty effective long range weapon. You have the PKR for sustained firepower and a couple shotguns for close up fighting. And of course 2 anti tank personel can take out any vehicle quickly.

I could outsnipe most snipers on the map with the M16 and healthpacks. There was 1 sniper that gave us a problem because of his headshots, but we traded the medkit back and forth and finally got a rocket snipe on him after getting critically wounded a couple times. No one ended up dying though so the sniper was ineffective except for beefing up his own stats.

I could see maybe adding an assault class to this squad, but for a foot squad this one seemed to handle most situations very well.

Exactly. Need to get teamwork points for damaging occupied enemy vehicles 50% just like you lose points for team vehicle damage.

More AT is definately needed but medics actually need to revive people. When I'm playing as MEC or PLA I almost never get revived. Quite frequently there are multiple medics around and I still lie there dying. If these people have too much of a problem checking thier radar for revive symbols then they need to swith to english only voices.

Engineers, you can never have enough engineers running a horde, blasting anything that moves. 32 of them.

Problem with a lot of medics is that they are medics so they can heal themselves. Nothing like being a medic, bringing 3-4 other guys back to life.. dying and watching other medics run right over you and ignoring you.

not a lot of engineers and i dont blame them.. .. engineers would help solve the too many tank problem better than AT guys in my opinion. Problem is.. everytime i lay out some mines.. some moron from my own team comes flying by in a vehicle, ignores the BIG RED SKULLS and then punishes me.

i don't think you should get punished the same for TK with mines / claymores. Like maybe with first three tk from them.. you cant be punished but if you kill 4 or more punish. (or maybe a certain number within time period)

              anyhow.. besides engineers...

I would say we need more good commanders.

Yup no one plays medic anymore. I abandoned it myself for a while when the expansion came out. But after calling for med packs and seeing no medic icons on the mini map, I had to switch back. What really ****ess me off are the people who only play medic for the new the SF unlock. I will stand right in front of them calling for a medic and they will just continue on like they don't see the health icon above me flashing. That is just damn annoying!!! Makes me want to shoot them in the face.

Commanding IMO is easy. Just a lot of stupid people "practice" doing it online, same with flying jts.

Mines will always be a problem. Idiots think they can drive over them and sometime can but mostly cant. Same with claymore "I think I'll jump over this".

Yep. When I need more ammo for my and Im continuoly asking, jumping up and down saying it to his face, he refuses, same with medics. Nothing more than a bad medic. When Bf2 came out i quickly became acquinted with the medic gun. I had an optical mouse that was horrible and turning turrets but when it came to shooting, then and there I would kill people so accuretly. Then I got my laser mouse and its very sensitive naturally. Anyway..

A anti dumbass kit would be good.

Re: The one kit you wish your team always had more of...

I play medic a lot and reviving isn't as automatic as it may seem. Even though it seems like a lifetime when you are laying there critically wounded, from the medic's point of view:

                    1. It may take a couple of seconds to see who needs revived.

                    2. He needs to get to the guy who may be 4 or 5 seconds away.

                    3. He needs to decide if the area is safe.

                    4. Then he needs to get the paddles out.

After all of this, there often isn't much time left. And oh you hear the crybabies when you revive and then you both get killed because you didn't see the enemy was still around. Like there is always a UAV onsite to let you know.

One of my dilemmas is if I'm in a squad, how much do I go out of my way to heal others not in my squad? I don't want to be insensitive to all of the cries for help, but isn't my main responsibility to my squad? I really don't know. Noone talks about this so I'm open to opinions guys. If you are in a squad do you expect your medic to stay with the squad or can he run off to help others?

It doesn't really matter. I join squads so I hear commanders orders, other saves spots in vehicles for them. Its up to you. Whichever is safest.

Also another thing, has another not been revived because they were a medic ?
In karkand, I've seen myself being walk pasted by medics because Im a medic. So the bastard thinks if he doesn't revive me he'll get all the points. I've also seen people avoiding ammo. Its disgusting. You try to work as a team and some fool stops it.

                        It's SO situational.

Sometimes I can't find a medic to (litterally) save my life. There never seems to be an AT around when ya need 'em. And when you're in a half blasted tank, engineers always seem to be in short supply.

Generally, I pick my starting kit based on what's already in the squad and I'll stick with it unless there's a great deman for something else.

Beyond that, the kit you really need is always the one that isn't there.

What impresses me is the amount of people who play special ops and dont have a clue how to use C4 effectively, i only see them running away from the tanks (and dying). Most of the time if im not SO or AT i have to change class to destroy it, purely because everyone else is incapable of destroying the armor (OMFG ITS A TANK! RUNNNN!)
If you're SpecOps run TOWARD the tank and destroy it (if you dont think u can escape, suicide with your C4 on the tank....you still get the kill).

One thing I've noticed (Especially in special forces) is a massive over abundance of spec. ops guys. I dont really understand what the big deal is about being able to use C4..considering the vast majority uses it wrong. Ive also noticed way way too many assault guys. Personally I see the assault class as totally worthless. Always need more medics around and AT guys.

Definitly the engineers especially at the base. Sometimes it happenes that nobody seem to care that radar, communicationcenter and artillery are broke. Even not the commander. Still I think having the commander-objects working is very important to win a battle.. so I sometimes respawn at the base as engineer.

Medics can sometimes be swarming around but don't effect anything. Is sometimes even see medics run through artillery-fire to get that 1 reanimation point ... I play medic a lot, and always make sure I'm out of the battle within reach of the squad commanders. If he dies it has a lot of effect on the progress...
