I've used the search feature for the last 20 minutes trying to find a link or something to a guide on tanks. I'm looking for any tips or practices that people use. I see some people with 10+ K/D ratios and I'm trying to figure out how they do it. They must be staying back and covering for their team or something. What do you do when it's a 32 Karkand and like 16 people, do you just go capture points? I'm looking for any tips. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Where is a tank guide?
You've already got it. Just stay back and retreat as soon as you're even remotely threatened. So long as its a map like Karkand you don't need to worry about airpower coming in a smoking you. Just sit back and spawn camp with a supply crate next to you.
If the other tank shows up, shoot it in the threads. Two hits and you win. You could go for the one-hit kill, but I think an easy two-hit kill is a lot better choice than a nearly impossible one-hit kill.

Re: Where is a tank guide?
- Don't use tanks to capture points..it's an easy way to get c4ed
- Be an engineer
- Be a squadleader so you can request supplies when needed
- Pop smokes to get out of sticky situations
- support infantry...if u do too much solo acts you'll get owned
- keep moving...stationary targets get c4ed
- Group up with armor.. armor side by side is hard to stop especially if you're both engineers
- know the weak points of the tank. (back of the tank and front and rear treads)

Re: Where is a tank guide?
I use the tank on deep strike to take enemy back flags, it disrupts and distracts them and gives some breathing room to the front line. Once you know the maps, you will understand what areas you should not linger in. Certain flags are very dangerous for tanks, it just depends. Use the outside views so you will not be surprised. It has gotten harder thou since most spec ops just toss the c4 these days from farther and farther distances it seems. Having a gunner helps tremendously and allows you to repair your tank without an enemy stealing it.

Re: Where is a tank guide?
the guy is asking for the game code.
he and I need pictures of where to hit and how much it hurts.
i know it takes only 2 shot to destroy a tank(when face-to-face in most cases) if you fire at the front weels. back is also deadly. side is a bit better than front.

Re: Where is a tank guide?
well acaully the most vulnerable part of the tanks r their undersides but when do u ever get 2 see those?
jsut aim for their tracks, the further 2 the rear the better...

Re: Where is a tank guide?
You're one of the people I like to ban from our server and someone who gives tank operators a bad name. SPAWN CAMPERS ARE WEAK. If you don't have the skill to move around and do something usefull, you should go back to collecting Star Wars Figures and plying with them alone in your room. You've already got it. Just stay back and retreat as soon as you're even remotely threatened. So long as its a map like Karkand you don't need to worry about airpower coming in a smoking you. Just sit back and spawn camp with a supply crate next to you.

Re: Where is a tank guide?
spawn camping can reduce a large amount of tickets, and help your team win.
If I use a tank to try to cap flag, and caped 4 flag in 4 mins, died 4 times because of C4, while I can kill 32 people by camping a cappable flag (32 tickets), i would rather camp.

If you have to camp a spot where players spawn, you don't deserve to win. Players like you make me ill.

Re: Where is a tank guide?
Dont ever stop in a tank.... ever. Even while capping, etc keep rolling back and forth. Keeps your speed up if you need to escape, and makes it more dangerous for the enemy to run near you. Stay away from buildings if possible. You want to attack from a long distance over open terrain if at all possible. Remember the main gun does splash damage. Shoot it through door ways and windows where you suspect AT are hiding. Watch for the hit indicator.

Re: Where is a tank guide?
Oh yah... if a buggy is trying to ram you, it's probably C4'd. back up and shoot it if you can, but if it gets too close you may need to bail and run so you dont die.
