Re: Armed Assault News
Damn, I remember OFP that game was the sh*t.That game could keep me entertained for hours just by playing with the mission editor, making your own little movies and stuff.Campaign was something like 60 missions,From Special Forces, Squad Commander to Abrams tank commander to Apache pilot,A10's the game had it all. No game can ever compare to OFP, the game is huge.Just walking from one side of the island to the other could take you a hour or two thats how large the maps where. You could never run out in the open either because, you never knew where a sniper could be, or a convoy passing by, or soldiers on patrol, you always had to keep your guard up.
Those were the good old days, putting 20 Abram tanks up against 20 T-80's and just letting them duke it out in the desert, being able to put your own music in the game so u can jam to it well you blow sh*t up.The missions had some of the most real battle chatter ever seen in a game too.It was like you were really part of a large mission going down, There was always Alpha Squad, Bravo, it wasnt just you and your men in the mission there was always some other infantry squad or helicopter or apc there supporting you most of the time.OFP never had the best graphics but that doesnt matter the game is fun as hell, Its the ultimate Military Simulation of all time !
Flying around in the goold ole A10 bombing a russian village, just looking out your cockpit window and seeing all the defensless little russian soldiers shooting up at your plane, hearing ding ding as thier bullets hit the side of your plane.Until they busted out with some huge AA gun and boom, Eject,Eject then your alone behind enemy lines and all those angry russians would be hunting you down. You would just have to wait in the woods for hours till it turned night time, then you could sneak and try to escape back to base without getting caught by the dirty russian dogs!.OFP came out when i was around 12 or 13 back around 2001, its one of my favorite games of all time and this one is gonna be even better.
