I believe you don't exaggerate when you claim to have excellent skills in an attack helicopter.

Personally, as an infantry-oriented player, there is nothing cooler (to me) than having one of you guys be my guardian angel in the sky. I'll freely admit it, my butt has been saved by your kind more than once.

But more to the point: in reference to your 2nd example (the APC), I think you would find an amusing story about one such incident in the War Tales forum. Look for the thread titled, "Anthology of Battlefield experiences" and scroll down near the bottom of the first post to a story given to me by a friend. You might find it interesting.

Aye, I read it. It was under the subheading of "APC Fun!". Not too funny in and of itself that one, but I can definetly relate to it. I had the same problem when starting. The problem stems from waterborne targets not being subject to rocket splash damage from the hydras (as obviously, they are in the water). The way to overcome this is of course to come into the strafe parallel to the target, passing directly over him, instead of entering perpendicular. Also, a higher AOA helps as well. It can be done either way, but parallel and over is much more ammo efficient.

On that note, its nice to know that there are still people that appreciate helo support. Actually, it brings a tear to my eye :cry: hehe.

And remember, spot an AA for your fellow guardian angels, and get a cookie! Sure I can wait and see the tracer fire / missle trail and line up on him that way, but it is oh so much more satisfying to loop around the back, and nail him before he even knows you are there (as he is busy scanning infront)

Secondly, showing you’re the worst enemy of someone means what? You tell me you’re going to teach me a lesson because of my ego and then tout your own? I’m not in the mood to get into a ****ing contest with anyone. It amazes me that you would even think it's your job to teach someone a lesson. Who are you again? My grandmother? If you think it’s your responsibility to teach me a lesson, then fine, show up and we will see what happens. I’ll post the screencaps from the end or every round where your on the opposing team and we will see who gets the gold and who’s team wins the round (hint, look at my stats). I don’t care how many times I die in a round. I care about winning the round.

Third, please note the win to loss ratio in my stats if you’re concerned about stats on the whole. It's higher than yours. It's the only stat that matters to me. I try to win, that's what I do. This isn’t about my ego. Please leave the challenges and skill insults out of this.

Also make note ot that guys win loss ratio. His is 5x yours. He is alo the worst eney of 41 people, where as you are the worst of 7. If anything you just pointed us to the stats of a better player than yourself.

Same applies to your fixation on your own win/loss numbers.

Any rules you need to help you feel better? Am I allowed to get out of my tank and shoot you with a regular gun? Do I have to sit still so you can hit me? Should I tell everyone else on my team not to shoot you so you can make a personal crusade against me?

While parish may have gone a little over the top with his words, I don't think there was any malicious intent. He was protesting the stereotype of a tank "whore", and the stereotype of "whoring" in general. It wasn't an attack on any other type of player.

Besides, everyone's good at something, right? I mean, he's good in a tank. You (||variable) are good at something too! This seems to be just a minor misunderstanding...

You seem to be really bothered when people call you out on your own statements, almost as if you didn't make them in the first place:

1) You brag about your tank skills
2) I tell you that you're probably not as good as you might think, and I'll be happy to prove it
3) You respond with great ire

1) You tell me that I must be a lesser player because my Win/Loss is lower than yours
2) I remind you that Win/Loss doesn't explicitly indicate anything about personal skill
3) You take my clarification personally and get ****ed because I contradicted your stance, even though I was making a broad claim about Win/Loss in general
