I sometimes get out of my tank to remember what it's like on foot. Then someone runs up to kill me and I lay them out with a shotgun. Sometimes it's three of them. I stand for a moment and look at the bodies on the ground and think "This is fun". Then I get back in my tank and go on about my business.

I spent plenty of time on the ground. There are many rounds where I ground pound it as well.

Wow... 216 hours on just Karkand Ordnance? Out of 310 total hours play time eh? Hmmmm.

Sure, I have 105 more gold medals than you. But you have played Karkand 196 more hours than I have. ROFL. I also notice you only have 2 maps that you have won more than you have lost? Yeah... that's where that whole teamwork thing comes in. You should practice that one.

Well, parish puts it rather harshly; but he does have a point. Everyone is good at something, and although it may be hard to admit it, everyone is not good at something. Personally, I drive a decent tank but there are others far better than me (and I'm guessing that parish among the best of them). I'm not really good driving fast vehicles (i.e. HUMVEEs and HUMVEE-esque vehicles), but I had a friend who could (and regularly did) outmanuver bombing airplanes, shelling artillery, and mines thrown in front of him while driving a jeep (I was usually a passenger and I was usually scared out of my pants the entire time).

The point is, if you aren't good at something then you really shouldn't do that something unless you devote a lot of time to practicing that particular something. Let those who can fly planes FLY THEM. Let those who can drive tanks DRIVE THEM. In essence, let those who can best utilize the resources use the resources. Now, I do not consider these kinds of people "whores". They are simply doing their job.

Besides, I have found that these kinds of people are actually more agreeable than one might think. I'm sure if you ask politely and agree to compromise, these people would let you have a turn in their vehicle.



Ah, I think jeep jihads haven't worked since '42. And remember how deadly those tank's gunners were at taking down aircraft? And remember that game was supposed to be 60 years ago? And remember that technology gets better, not worse, as time progresses? Yeah. Point made.

i like being in a tank, but im so good at it, its no fun and to easy, i get like a 9:1 KD ratio when im in a tank, whats the fun in that?

Tanks are fun occasionaly. However when an APC or TANK just stands by a spawn point and blasts whoever spawns, its really ghey.

I have no problem with tank whores, provided that they're not just stat-padding. Case in point, that APC/tank that stays on the left street at Karkand and kills everyone who spawns under the arch at the first flag. These guys usually make the case that they're "helping" their team, but they could be capping a back-flag instead to stop ticket-bleed. They just want to bolster their KDR, nothing more.

Helicopter and jet whores bother me more because there's not always something I can do to counter them. Stingers/IGLAs and vehicular MGs work fairly well against choppers, but a skilled pilot would just kill me in an IGLA, and the machine gun would probably just scare them away...or they'd kill me, one or the other.

Jet whores are the worst because there's virtually nothing you can do to shoot down an experienced jet pilot (from the ground at least).

A main battle TANK should be feared and hidden from. Not ran at from the FRONT with C4 in hand, and expect to not get mowed down.

it's a ****ing tank for christ's sake. DON'T RUN AT IT AND IT WON'T KILL YOU AS MUCH.

And the worst are those idiots on the other team that are in a tank, but don't know how to use it. Then you kill them without taking more than 1/4 damage and they think you hack.

There sure are some whiny ****tards around here lately. They want more infantry combat, well they get Special Forces. "This expansion sucks, the noob tube still rules, there aren't enough vehicles around, the night maps suck ass, the guns are overpowered!".

Just play the damn game and quit whining.

i just started being a jet whore since i got my joystick. and yeah, my jet K/D ratio went from 2:1 or 3:1 to 30:1 now. (not the ratio on average)

But to be honest i see the MECS win more than the USMC, as all it takes is a decent engineer laying mines and a C4 or RPG'er to totally stop that armour getting past the hotel while the MECs then spawn rape the spawn points near the hotel.

Good anti armour players can win that map with ease. Just one engineer with mines can really mess up a good armour player. I also love to jump into a tank but I hate players who whine get out when you get into gun in the tank or APC.

I just wanted to say that if you always leave the planes the tanks and the Humvees to the people who are best with them, how are you supposed to get good at using them? If you don't practice your not going to get any better, and what better practice then live fire? I generally load up faster ingame then anyone else I will go and wait by the Attack Heli for a pilot to turn up because I'm no good at heli piloting (and I know it) although, I do try it... sometimes. But it usually ends up with the heli and my corpse about 20 meters from the pad on fire in the trees.

I think its ridiculous to let them use the vehicles because they are better at it. I let them use it because I know I'm **** at it, and we will do better if I'm on the turret or guiding the missle, Anyway I've been playing this game a few weeks, devoted alot of time to it, and from what I can see no-one works as a team anyway, its all grab and run and frags, although I do meet the occasional person who decides that working together will actually be beneficial. Plus no-one communicates... which is rather odd... Don't get me wrong their are alot of decent players out their who are very much team orientated, there is just a huge lack of harmony amongst the players, everyone is at odds even team mates, people think its wierd when you follow them into combat giving them covering fire etc

I can't stand the people ingame who teamkill for the jet or the jeep, its lame. Most of these people are what I would call whores, not the ones who use them alot because thats their choice, just the ones that get abusive over not getting their way. So to put it bluntly. **** 'em. People need to show a little respect in this game regarding sharing.

Yes... Planes are the bane of my life, I just can't seem to keep control very well, I mean I can get them in the air and do nice little circles but the chances of going over an enemy flag in a straight line and giving the bombardier a chance to drop some missles on them enemy tanks is very slim...

I'm an anti tank kit whore.

Except I don't use it to take out tanks. I'm an improvised anti helicopter kit whore. The number of Choppers I've shot down, chased away, or depleted of crew is astronomical.

Actually it isn't, as I've only started being good at this. But hitting blackhawk's cargo bays, scaring Mi-28's away from the flag and the like is good clean fun.

HOWEVER I cannot use the kit to remove tanks. It seems I have to fire all my rockets into a tank, and probably go back for more to finish them off. But when I'm IN a tank it seems to take one glancing hit and I'm dead.

How do you shoot tanks with the AT kit?

I prefer mining places with an Engineers outfit. Blew up about 5 boats on Sharki the other day by mining the ramps :)

Blah, blah a good squad/teamwork wtf ever. The chances of this so called tatic is lame. Not everyone is what you expect to be or whatever. Yeah there's choices. I still say spawn times should be increased .

Those tank's/apc's that sit by supply crates. UGH! I dun know how many time's I've asked for supplies or ammo not to get anything. So I sit there with my penis in my hand going umm hmm umm. I understand you don't have to kill everything that move's. But damn. They just annoy me something awful.
