Great example of what passes for political debate in the US. "I hate Bush, therefore Bush is dumb." The Bush's are most assuredly not dumb. Dumb people do not get MBA's from Yale and become fighter pilots. What is dumb is making judgemental statements regarding someone's intelligence based on ignorance and emotion. Time to grow up and engage in meaningful debate, unless, however, you find namecalling theraputic, in which case please disregard what I just wrote and have at it. You won't find a better place for ignorance than this forum, especially when it comes to history and politics.

This isn't really the place for engrossing political debate. It's off-topic and the forum is geared towards gamers (most of which don't have a clue about the depth and bredth of the political machine).

Ok, so Bush himself might not be stupid (I'd argue the point based on his debating skills), but his administration has done some remarkably stupid things. Also some remarkably brilliant things that could easily be called "Evil". Very clever how they've managed to deprive the American people of their liberties in the name of "Freedom". Brilliant how they've managed to manipulate people into forgetting that Bush is a WAR CRIMINAL (his invasion of Iraq was made under false pretenses and violates several international sovrenty laws).

And yet, people still rush to back him up because he makes claims like "God is on our side" and that he is "on a great Crusade".

We know what happens when people are suckered by those words. It's called "a path to world war".

But as I say, this isn't the place for such debates.

this is in regards to the call of duty post where everyone is going to shut down their servers if they dont get some kind of support. kind of odd for EA to post something like this.

BF2 v1.12 Update
We at DICE and EA are committed to on-going support for Battlefield 2. We're pleased to see that so many of you are still playing the game on a regular basis and continue to support it and the community with some great mods and movies (We're big fans of the machinimas, so keep them coming guys, and MINE, you guys rock!).

We wanted to let you know that we're already hard at work on a post 1.12 update. While we can't go into details about it, yet, rest assured that we're checking the forums, listening to our customer support teams and working hard on the features that YOU'VE asked for. As soon as we can give more concrete details, we will. Just know that we're all 100% into making Battlefield 2 the very best that it can be.

Mod Tool Update
As part of our ongoing support for Battlefield 2 and the community, we're going to be releasing a new version of the Battlefield 2 Mod editor. This is a beta version of the editor and as such comes unsupported. However, we're sure you'll be happy with the additional functionality this tool provides for you eager modders.

We will be releasing the updated Mod Tool to a few individual Mod teams prior to getting it out to everyone else. This will be closely followed by a public release in a few weeks' time. We're really excited about being able to release this and look forward to seeing some great Mods out there.

You're making one hell of a big assumption there.
How do you know this wasn't their plan all along? It seem to make sence to me... stability patch, extra content patch, SF compatability patch, now a features patch (since they have time to do it).

Where you see consipracy, I see a working business model.

Yeah... like I'd want to trade in my nice FREEDOM for your conformist culture that celbrates ignorance. Yeah, I'd love to live in a place led by the stupidest man on Earth. Where Christian ethics dominate even tho they've been outmoded by 2000 years of cultural evolution. A place so amazingly screwed up that people stockpile arms for use against their own government.
