I want to learn to be decent with all the kits, Im working on medic right now, but if I see someone anyone start that noob toob business in game guess what Im gonna do. Ill tell you, Ill probably spend the rest of the round toobing everything thats on the other team. Then Ill probably laugh about it for a day or two. Oh Momma, I been a bad, bad boy....Red..LOL

Although I guess the definition of noob around here would be: anyone using a tactic you find disagreeable for any reason whatsoever.

But if the coders weren't trying to make it semi realistc why did they bother to include so much real life things into it. USMC, M16, M1A2, M203, AH1-z, MI-28, SVD.... all these things have real world counterparts that can be thought of when playing the game.

The M203 IRL has a minimum range. This is for the safty safe of the user. In BF2 you can use it to blat a guy literally at your feet. Why restrict the M16A2 to semi/3 round burst? It would be no less "wrong" to make it full auto than it is to have the M203 blow up at your feet.

I'm not saying make this a Rainbow Six clone, but frag happy multiple jumpers aren't playing in the spirit of the game and are, literally, using super human ability to jump round corner and often, generally while taking multiple hits from a 5.56mm weapon, blowing you up at contact range with a grenade in a method the programmers probably only sort of wanted.

Obviously there is always going to be a bit of "game" ness to a popular game, because it will have to cater for hard core UT / Quake gamers as well as the middle of the road gamer types and try entice the mil simmers is as well. That isn't the issue.

The issue is the M203 is as bad in BF2 as the AWP was in CS. It is being abused as a CQB instagib shotgun.

While this game might not be, as you put it, "simulating "my life in the Marine Corp"!" that is what you are playing. A human soldier who is in the US Marines, or their opponents, and not a genetically enhanced super soldier.

This is a combat game after all, a combat game depicting contemporary weapons and enviroments. This should lend itself to contemporary tactics. A crouched shooter using the iron sights should be much more dangerous than a person jumping around wildly.

Ill be honest, once in a while i need to let out some aggression, and there is nothing better than firing up BF2 and running around with a "noob toob" taking out squads left and right, nothing is funnier than when they go airborne.

what it comes down to is this, you guys that have been playing the game since day one always started out using GL, now you've moved on to another weapon because you got tired of using that one, now youre getting killed with one shot soon as you turn the corner at karkand, and you dont even have a chance to get one shot off, and thats what ****es you off.
