I don't have time to read any possible comments when I'm fighting. If any text doesn't look like it's from my squadmates or my commander I don't tend to notice it. Unless it's a slow round. I've probably been called many things because I'm not very good, but I'll never know.

I didn't used to play Assault because before SF I thought it was a worthless kit (no support points or no way to kill armor), but with the grappling hook and the flash bang this kit has really come into its own. I play it often now, and since I haven't unlocked the G3 (will do that next time) I sometimes end up with the grenade launcher (MEC SF have hand grenades) and while I prefer hand grenades, I'm not afraid to use it.

And if this game had a BFG 9000, you know a whole lotta people would be using it. It doesn't take much skill either but it kills people.

only thing i think is nooby is when people run around literally with their GL's always on and kill themselves along with me.... maybe if they tried bullets they would have had a better chance of surviving... but killing youself and an enemy is just like kamakazi jets... makes no sense

It's a legitimate weapon and I don't mind using it or being killed by it -- it does, however, iritate me when guys use in when they don't have to (i.e. someone sneaks up on you from behind and uses the 'tube instead of a knife).

It makes me wonder if they have such little confidence in their abilities that they have to go with the overkill to get the job done.

It does make sense, they don't get the kill and you don't lose any points and they have to look at spawn screen too.

I've had knifings go wrong where it just kicks up a cloud of dust a couple times and then the guy turns around and kills me. So yeah, it may be overkill, but the most important part of overkill is kill. With the way the hit detection can be buggy if you can get a guaranteed kill then why not go for it?

I'm finding that BF2 is becoming more and more like bf1942 eveyday, in the end all 1942 was is grens and now BF2 is grens and 203, to be honest it is getting quite boring the samething every map. And SF is just as bad all grens etc.

I enjoyed the demo more as people where still learning about the weapons.

Didn't know there was a such thing as overkill when you're trying to win/survive.

I use the M203 like it's a rifle, I use the M203 like it's a punch, heck, I use the M203 more than I use mah' own bullets. Primarly because playing assault grants you the least accurate weapon in the game; and a nuke. Why not use the nuke? A nuke has 100% accuracy!

I don't understand the frustrations of the general public in regards to the 203. Look at the weapon balance. Assault has a "Long Barrel" rifle that's less accurate than a Carbine at range. A CARBINE! Heck, even our G3 is less accurate than the M4. A G3 shoots well around 4moa at 600m with optics, yet, it's outdone in accuracy by a carbine. So... our rifles are nerfed. So, we don't use em'. Our Grenade launcher on the other hand is dominate, so we use that. I makes the most sense... I can't see how anyone can dispute the fact the the assault rifle is less effective and accurate (In regards to kill count) than the grenade launcher. And why would we put ourselves at a further disadvantage?

I don't have a problem with people using the 'tube for real fire support, but when you combine it with dumb bunny-hopping it drives me to distraction.

Seriously, I've got a whole bunch of kills from the GP-30, and quite a few of them were one on one, with only a couple of group engagements, but I've never tried to pogo stick it around a map and shoot people with it.

I hate firing a whole mag into someone who is hopping like a bunny with a 9vlt battery up it's ass, and they then grenade me, mid hop, at like 2m.

Seriously, IRL the 40mm HEDP grenade the M203 uses requires a certain ammount of flight time before the grenade arms. This stops people blowing themselves up IRL.

I forget what the arming distance is, but the number 7 or 14 meters rings a bell.
[Edit, oh yes. It arms between 15-30 meters, and has a frag range of 5m IRL]
This should be added for BF2.

I dont complain when i get toobed, i have no reason to when its from long range.. but when its some bunnyhopping idiot who kills himself along its not easy to stay quiet.. when i kill a hopper all i type down is..

I would like to see an arming distance added to the GL, but {WP}Paas is right about the accuracy of the Assault rifles. Making carbines more accurate than rifles is just nuts. I think the game and the class would be improved if the GL had an arming distance, and the rifles were more accurate.

I get that if I kill someone with a 203 or GP. That is really starting to tick me off. I played special ops, then I heard, oh C4 is for NOOBS, then I tried Sniper, then it was oh, no skill, can only kill from afar. Ok, tried Medic, then I get, he makes all his points by healing. Or when I fly a plane, drive a tank, run people over in a Hummer…. It’s the same thing.

A noob toober is EASILY killed by a short to long range type of attack, SRAW, HJ-8, MP5, FS2000, T-90, C4……. Its not like they are unstoppable FFS

Why let it get to you? Those that whine are usually the ones who have no skill and get owned by all sorts anyway, just keep playing how YOU want, you paid for the game afterall.
