I switch all the time nothing better than a head shot kill

      Re: Auto or not?

I manual burst only on the G36C (the recoil is so insignificant it's easy to do it) and i burst on the m16, and semi on all other weapons, and auto in CQC and on LMGs.

I absolutely HATE, HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE 3 shot burst mode - such a waste of my ammo and time. I put it on full auto and just do controlled shots.

I used to always leave on full auto and just control my shots in 1-2-3 shot bursts depending on what was needed for the situation.

I have found how accurate going to single shot really is though. Leaving in auto and just tapping a single shot, is not NEARLY as accurate as going to single shot mode. Does not make any sense to me at all.
        Same here.

I play mostly sniper. So when I have to play assault, I tend to stay farther away than most and still try to snipe (old habit). But dang, the new F2000 is great for sniping and good in CQC. Good all around gun.

full auto.. if u can control ur shots, use full auto, even when sniping (iron sights used ofcourse..) u just gotta practice doing controlled bursts wit auto guns and u wont even have the need for other firing modes.

When I'm Special Ops I'm always sniping, with the other weapons - it depends on the distance.

I noticed that with the AK-47 I can take someone out in two shots in semi, but in auto it sometimes takes more than half my clip.

              Re: Auto or not?

Really depends on how far away you are from your target. Long distances = single shot, medium distances = burst/single shot, short distances = burst/full auto.

I leave the weapons on full auto but never spray a target unless there 2ft in front of me, as you can still do single shot / small bursts in full auto....

I'm starting to hate full auto due to some of you dumb fools who hold down the trigger, wipe out the current enemies and keep holding the trigger down still and that in turn rips on through your allies..

Same here, the M16 is the worst gun, apart from the AT SMG's in the game.

Best gun: AK-47, on semi auto, 2-3 torso shots and hes down.

                      Re: Auto or not?

Doesn`t a shot fired in single-mode do more damage then one fired in auto-shot? (yes, not realistic I know). It`s just an impression I got.

That said; I switch all the time. If I know the enemy is at medium or far range; then single shot; close its auto. Don`t see how you could play it differently.

I use single shot for medium distance and full auto for CQC.
Though lately I have been getting alot of kills with the G36E. I am head over heels for its burst fire. I dont ever recall getting 37 kills as medic in a round with that crappy L85.
That gun(g36e) single handedly won me back over to playing medic (that damn L85 made me stop playing medic).

their is less deviation on the bullets traj. when your useing the iron sights. i love the new guns btw, they all seem alot more acurate, Medic is fun again, and snipeing with the s2000 is great!

I killed someone with one three round burst today with the default insurgent assault rifle, they might have been on low health (I doubt it, it was by their spawn point), but that's usually what it takes if I have it on single shot, so I would say the damage is the same.

I'd just like to point out now, that at this point burst is the most favoured option of voters. I had seriously expected it to be Auto followed by single with burst last, but its the reverse (burst, semi, auto).

Is this suggesting that despite what people are saying, burst isnt as bad as you may think?

                                burst is most effective imo
