absolutley, I would add mashtur and sharqi as well.
in sf, mass destruction, surge, ghost town are ok, maybe even warlord but for me it's mashtur all the way

I really like Iron Gator..once I get past the laggyness, it has all the features, the close up and personal combat, easy flag capping..it rocks!

warlord and Ghost town own Karkand. Iron gator is on par, surge a little bit below. the others are good. No red headed step child map like in Vanilla *cough*Zatar*cough*

I do have to agree that Karkand and Sharqi are the two best strategically laid out maps. Good chokepoints and important bases are difficult to take (MEC Gatehouse on Karkand and US TV Station on Sharqi). The lack of chokepoints in SF kind of makes me go 'meh'.

Karkand is a great map, so are a number of other maps in the vanilla FB2, but all the maps in the BF2-SF kick butt, IMO.. BEcause they are all urban style maps; even the map with the ship (forget name) is like one big building take down map..

as an infantry man, I really like the SF maps for infantry combat, except the Arty it really spoils the atmosphere, in real life special forces dont need arty, there too good for it:p but mashtuur city is pretty good aswell, not too sure about Karkand i like it but its not better than SF maps in term of infantry combat but its close though

Yeah. SF maps are great I love Ghost town and Night Flight especially.
Everyone just have different opinion.
I Like the Karkand the best though.
