Would BF2 be better without the unlocks and all this rewards crap? yes or no. I think yes it would be like the old days play for fun not to try and get crap. It would make teamwork better I think. Cause now everyone wants to be the best at all this crap. I dont even see people with the normal army guns anymore everyones got an unlock man the demo was so much fun...:cry:

No, Battlefield 2 alread doesn't have a story line/plot, unlocks are the only things we have to look foward to. Awards are nice too. :nod:

I think it would be better without some of the rewards. Unlocks are fine, as long as they stay in their respective games (SF guns should not cross into BF2).
Some of the rewards just ask for idiocy: purple heart, parachute etc...
The point system needs an overhaul also.Comment

At least the independent sites had a compilation of everything you did instead of simply ranking you by time wasted and kills collected. Now it's nothing but who has the most time on their hands, not actual acheivement (unless you call spending all your time on BF2 and acheivement...)Originally posted by silG

No. In a way they have ruined the gam but im sure I'd get bored pretty quick if there wasn't anyway. People would play the game for fun though. Ea should just abolish the "global score". That way people will play for medals and stuff.Comment

Seriously though.
Get rid of the global score option and it would be a much better game.
In the end you could find out your global score, and your ea score still there, just that your global score wasn't visible. People would try to get high points with weapons, medals still there, same with unlocks. People won't be that competitve anymore, therefor less bull. Simple.

I voted yes simply becasue at the moment almost everyone has multiple unlocks and especially after special forces most people aren't even using the original weapons. If the ranks were left like they were in the first place then people wouldn't have so many unlocks and it would be much better and add more variety in the game.Comment

i like the unlocks cause some of them are better guns than the normal weapons. but if some of the unlock were to take the place of the normal guns i wouldnt like unlocks :)Comment
