You hate planes, yet you love infantry?

News flash buddy if you're playing with planes your not on an infantry map. These things have to be expected when your playing with planes. You're telling me back when you were piloting you thought "I already bombed that group of 30 people, I better not go back.. that'd be whoring"?

Also, someone who hates snipers and medics but loves the assault isn't an infantry man... he's an m203/gp-25(30) whore. Snipers on urban close range maps are the ultimate infantry because at best they have a bolt action rifle with a pistol. No nade launcher or smoke.

I hate vehicle whores as much as the next guy but I'm used to them.

I remember this time, on some game forum, some new guys showed up and makes lost of comments about how he knows stuff and stuff. About how he's all cool 'n stuff 'cause he plays the game. We made fun of him even though he couldn't understand most of the insults.

That's the spirit. I love the G3. It's the ultimate close/middle range combat weapon. And yes most of my time I spend on Sharqi/Karkand/Mashtur maps. Infantry only. But once in a while one needs some other maps so it wont get too boring. ok i dont like snipers & medics but what can I say a good assault armed with his beloved G3 is in my opinion a infantry player by heart.

Ah, classic whine on how he dosnt like how BF2 is not a copy of CS, how anyone who dosnt play the game CS style require no skill, and only CS style of play are considered "backbone of every operation"

Grow up, if you dont like BF2, go play CS, honestly why do people even bother complain if in their heart they just like to play CS.

I agree completely. If you don't like the vehicles, then go play CS. Nobody is making you play BF2.

Ya gotta realize that your attitude in your very first post was less than respectful to this community. We don't know you and we don't really care about how good you may or may not be.

To answer your question, I'm a very well rounded player. I play whatever is either most fun or the most helpful to my time at any given time. You can see this in my stats by clicking where it sas "stats". I don't care about my ratios (and it shows), but I get called "a hell of a good teamplayer" from time to time. I'm mostly a ground pounder, but I'll enjoy the hella outta flying choppers. I don't "whore" 'em, but when I get a chance ta fly I do so with a big grin on my face.

Your comment on medics not being "proper infantry" sent me into giggle fits. I don't play medic often, but when I do I find it to be a challanging position. Conversly, I apresiate good medics on my squad more than someone who can kill good. A couple skilled medics can mean the differance between winning a round or losing it. They can make all the differance in the world to your squad's combat efectivness. They are, simply put, invaluable.

Nowhere in the definition of infantry do I find the exclusion of any such soldier that is categorized as a medic or sniper. Only those who fight on foot, which is inclusive of the medic and sniper. You destroy your own arguement yourself by ignoring just as credible players that play these classes in Battlefield 2. They are your equals, they are your team, they are infantry.

I've also played snipers and medics a while, otherwise I wouldn't be able to say anything about that. THe point is, the realy powerful infantry classes are the ones that rock the game. Maybe you are also one of those goody2shoes other side of the river (get me?) players but THE INFANTRY RULES

So, Mr. Pirate, define these people on the other side of the river, because I most certainly don't get you. And to say "THE INFANTRY RULES" you are saying medics and snipers rule. Why not just say you're an assault whore? You'd be able to have a lot better of an arguement for your case, because that's what it seems like you are saying.

Alright another post:
"other side of the river" is not an english expression, originaly "vom anderen ufer" means gay (metaphor). i meant vecihles, pilots, snipers, medics. i'm aware you cant translate these expression word by word. So to be fair i explained it.
Yes I am a G3 assault whore, if that means that I take that kid 90% of the time. Single shot mode is my favorite but of course it's not always appropriate.

You seem to cast disparagy on people that play in support roles.
Killin ain't everything. Medic and the like may not be as great for shootin stuff up, but when your SL takes a round between the eyes and he's right there too put him back on his feet, that's worth a lot.

However, what I had a particular issue with is:

Teamwork is about working together, not running off and doing your own thing. I wish like hell more players would friggen get in through their heads that stickin together with a good SL is the way to not only win, but enjoy the game on whole new levels.
Nothing ****es me off more when I'm SL and NO ONE on the squad will bother to spawn on, stick with, or even TALK to me.
I'll generally kick 'em from the squad.

T'is true, but it's even more abused since I will take on low scoring duties. I'll actually do air defence, fly MEC Transports, repair armor, lay mines (yikes!), 'n all that sorta stuff. Sometimes I'll play a whole round without going to the front because I'm playing back D. Ya know, those strange guys that hang at the read CPs on Kark? The ones who kill fewer, but cause you to win? Yeah, them. Usually a squad.
If it's MY squad and you go running to the front, I'm gonna kick ya from it.

Well I guess we have different opinions on how to win a game. I'm in support of those who think it's good to have a few good offensive fast moving squads (up to 4 guys) which also defend flags if there is a commander who lets them know where the action will go on in advance (which very very seldom happens). Everyone else stay out of squads, espacially snipers and egineers. Those classes are good to get on the enemies nerves but they dont do the work and are easily overcome by a determined attack.

Yes but you also have your common sense. As a assault player you are no good staying back out of range. I were born with a brain to use it. Squad leaders are sadly enough most of the time no good. ->The reality of the game. Also killing people dereaces enemy tickets.

You are right in theory but i want a medic who shoots at the other team and doesn't only run in to revive you and get killed a split second later.

I'm sure everything in the game takes a certain amount of skill. I'm a hugh tank whore and im proud. Just because someone is in a tank doesn't mean they are going to do well. I've seen some pretty bad tankers, i've jumped on the back of a guys T-90 took a victory screenie, placed some c4 and ran awy before the guy even knew why he blew up.
