2GB Really Helps!

Hey guys,

I've finally upgraded my RAM to 2GB now (4x512). Even though they are just Samsung RAM, 2GB has finally made my Battlefield 2 gameplay smooth now! It's actually playable now :) I recommend the people who have 1GB to upgrade to 2GB. It's really worth it!

yeah ive had 2gig for quite a while now.. the best thing u notice is the way u spawn about 10-15 seconds b4 every1 else on a newly loaded map. allowing u to capture a flag b4 any1 else even appears

I got 2 gigs but for some strange reason I can't get my pc to run stable with it.

So I'm still stuck in the 1gig world. But he's right..it really helps bf2...especially the loading times.

I remember I had 512MB for BF:V had lag and game didnt run smoothly..then I upgraded to 1GB it ran so smoothly it looked like I got new comp or something...now I am gonna upgrade from 1GB to 1.5GB

Play with your settings/timings. Even try to set it to 2t. All you have to do with play with it and should be stable once you get it right. Are they the same modules or different sticks?

I have 1.3gb ram, and that is all you need for bf2, works like a charm :)

Might get another 512mb to take it to 1.5GB that should be fine?

Ram is the only thing I let myself down with on my new machine, just got 1GB that were nothing fancy.

Lads would 512-512-1024 work as i only have three ddr sockets or am i better just doing 512-512-512 or would it be better to if i went the added 1gb route to have it in dim socket 1?

You need to be careful about mixing DIMM sizes. I have a similar config (3 sockets, 2x512) and bought a 1024, only to find out my motherboard does not support mixing sizes. So, it was back to newegg to buy another 1024.
