Yes I have been crashing way more with Sf than BF2 Vanilla I think I have only crashed once with BF2 but now I have crashed about 4 times with SF. RUSHED GAME!

yes.

previously, before installing sf & 1.12, BF2 has never crashed to desktop on my machine. Today, mid game, the screen freezes, sound stutters (presumably as it writes the crashdump) and then i'm back at desktop.

This has happened 7 times during 2hrs of (attempted) play. I've updated to latest nvidia drivers and audigy drivers, I've tried running on 2 speakers instead of 7.1. didnt make any diff.

For reference, my spec is:

Athlon XP 3000+ / EPOX EP-8RDA3+ / 1GB PC2700 333 DDR / 2x MAXTOR 160GB (1 x SATA Raid 0 320GB) / 1 x Western Digital 60GB / GeForce 6800 GT / Audigy2 ZS Platinum Pro / Pioneer A07 DVD/CD-RW / 2x iiyama prolite e431S

This has really f@cked me off. Thats not to say it wasnt expected. I'll try a full reinstall tomorrow, see how that goes.

Keep us posted, i don't think anything but a patch is going to fix this problem.

Since 1.12 I've been crashing and disconnecting every 20 minutes.

ok. i give up with this. before this patch everything was fine. the only problem i experienced in the previous version of bf2 was about 30secs of jerking after a map load, then things were fine.

as i said above, i now have frequent crashes to desktop. I'm sick of reading responses such as "your pc is lame etc". There are many people reporting this issue, along with many other issues since installing 1.12.

I've reinstalled the game entirely twice, changed drivers/settings/switched off sound, lighting, shadows and still the same problems occur. I get CTD mainly on night maps, and the general performance of the game is much worse than it was before. The stupid optimizing shaders thing can take up to 5 minutes, and seems to appear randomly. The wrong tag bug seems much worse in SF, i've encountered it more since installing than i ever did with bf2 vanilla.

This patch has destroyed the game for me. I hope that they address these issues quickly, although that's highly unlikely. Thanks EA, you've proved once again that you are a gang of money grabbing t**ts. Ever heard of TESTING?!:hmm:

When i try to join a server for the first time I get the "Blah blah unmodified content", and the secont time the game crashes... Every time, no exceptions. I've tried connecting to different servers with different maps like 10 times, I've also tried reinstalling BF2 and SF.

The weird thing is that a firend of mine has the same problem, and we bought the game at the same store at the same time.

i have uninstalled and installed the patch and the games again.

It seems that the majoruty are having this problem. i have a very powerful system with excellent internet connection. I have NEVER had ANY problems with BF2, never crashed and played for hours on end.

The general consensus here is that there must be a problem with SF somehwere if we are all getting it apart from a few. I have spoken with my other clan members and they are also getting it every 30mins or so...

Perhaps someone can contact EA and get an explanation...?

exact opposite for me i havent crashed once as opposed to pre-patch were i was crashing every 30-40 mins
