Where can i get older nvidia drivers?

I can't really comment too much so far I have only played 2 rounds. 1st round can't remember the map still a SF noob, was a daylight one though had not too much problems though fps was down like 15-20 below bf2, 2nd round same map lagged like hell.

I'm going to try the 77.72's myself and will let you know whether the performance comes back.

Problem I have been having the last few days is that it starts SF alright when I join a game but all of a sudden my ping goes to hell and starts bouncing up real high; than finally Punkbuster will kick me for a high ping. I have done a Line Quality test, Speed test and lots of other hardware stuff but I still get kicked or lagged to hell after a minute or two of play.

ive discovered 2 causes of the mid game crashing. if something in the background pops up while the game is running, especially with sound, it appears to kill my game and i CTD. The main cause of this is MSN messenger, I am now able to replicate this by having someone nudge me in MSN, the game dies every time.

The 2nd cause appears to be related to pressing both mouse buttons at the same time in game. I've started to notice that when the game freezes before it returns to desktop, i've got both buttons pressed down.


Also, turning all the graphics settings to medium and running the 77.72 drivers has made the game fast and playable, no choppiness.

thanks. i'm currently testing 77.72, and so far its playing like it used to, and no CTD yet either (fingers crossed)

Zombiefly - has the driver roll back worked??? Are you still experiencing issues with it crashing or are you racking up those points playing SF??

Have other people rolled back to later Nvidia drivers and what are your opinions and experiences?

Hi,
As i posted further down the thread, i can play for a while now on 77.72 at medium settings. There were problems with background applications causing the game to crash (MSN messenger etc)

So, for the time being, i'd say 77.72 improve things, but the CTD problem is still there, just less frequent.

My crashes occur upon entering the game right after clicking the "join game" button. It usually happens rarely but it happend the first two times I tried to join a SF game. After those first two crashes I was able to join games crash free, though im sure it will happen occassionally in the future.

Did not crash in original (vanilla) or now with the SF (chocolate?).

No complaints here - other than lack of sleep from playing.
