i think the sas voices are ok, not looking at the accent though. fot that, we would have to ask sir sean connery to pay a visit to EA and DICE

Your statement proves how ignorant people from "insert your country here" are. The Xpack was made in Canada. How about not generarlizing a whole nation based on what a few employees of Dice do or think.

I'm pround to be English but I hate the SAS voice overs.

Most of the SAS are scottish, which confuses me as to why they did "English" accents,

The accents in BF:SF are horrible!! If I hear the words "Star lite here now" I am going to F'n puke! Or the word 'Wilco' I am going to rip my hair out!

I opted for the english only selection.

I think most Americans, myself included, wouldn't know the difference between accents from different areas of England. Of course most people in the UK couldn't tell between the accents of U.S. states, or even different areas of one state, other than the obvious (Northern and Southern accents).

Having said that I would like for game makers to at least make the game somewhat accurate as far as accents and terms used by the different militaries. I still cringe at the "Hostile slick incoming!" thing when an attack helo is spotted, since a "slick" is a helo without external stores.

What a load of horse manure. I have the job in life of seeing these boys off on a regular basis from an RAF base in wiltshire and they arent all sweaty socks at all. There is a good mixture of people from all countries within the UK. Hence why there should have been a bit of research into what the special forces would sound like, instead of the Mary Poppins WW2 movie accents.

I have just found out the files are .ogg files, hopefully they will be ogg vobis files which means I can make my own voice pack with all my clan members, who come from all over UK and europe.

what it ****es me off is that they can't even get the Chinese voice over right. The infantry soilder's voice seems to be right (in fact he sounds like he was actually in the military, and this comes from a guy whose family had a tradition of service in the Chinese army), but commander voice is completely broken.

I play regularly with 4 or 5 brits on Teamspeak and they all have different accents. One is a scot and the other 4 are english but they have different accents and are easy to distinguish between. The scot is almost unintelligible (sp?). One of them sounds like George Harrison so that is cool.

Lets not forget the SAS comprise of other common wealth forces as well. They could have chucked in a few Oz and New Zealand accents for good measure and not used the **** Van Dyke school of english accents.

Andy McNabb has a lot to answer for. Its a made up name and he is not scottish!!
