Later I ´ve experimented with all the posibles ways of solve this f**k problem,I´m sure that the thing is the encryptation of the SF key...all BF2CDKeyCheck.exe that I have,it included in SF expasion pack,not encript the key,this is the **** problem,dont you?

We need the correct BF2CDKeyCheck.exe for encrypt our SF key...I have the DVD version of the game...can somebodu post the BF2CDKeyCheck.exe that it´s included in the downloable version for testing???? or the BF2CDKeyCheck.exe that rum succesfully...snif snif....:cry:

I had the same problem...
When I connect to an SF server the message "Serial Key not valid" (only in German) cames but now I can play BF2.
After a look in this forum I see that it is true with the registry key.
BF2CDKeyCheck.exe change only the regkey Battlefield 2/ergc

So my steps that solve the problem for me was:

1. enter your cleartext BF2 key to Battlefield 2/ergc
2. start BF2CDKeyCheck.exe
3. export/save Battlefield 2/ergc
4. enter your cleartext BF2SF key to Battlefield 2/ergc
5. start BF2CDKeyCheck.exe
6. copy string from Battlefield 2/ergc to Battlefield 2 Special Forces/ergc
7. import your backup from point 3.

I have the DVD version and uses BF2CDKeyCheck.exe from the support directory.

My SF is running,loooooooooooooooool...great idea,copy and export key for be encrypted in BF2 textclear...niceeeeeeeeeeeeee...

All the people,this error has been solved from germany...lol

Is bf2cdkeychk suppose to do anything? For me it does nothing, but it seems it loads up and thats about it. Also does "cleartext" mean deleting the registry value?
