The flash bangs aren't devastating AT ALL. They are only best when you get flashed right in the face. If it explodes behind you, you get the ringing in the ears and a bit of blurred vision but it isn't bad at all. I got flashed on karkand like that last night (landed behind me), vision was blurry but not completely whited out. I killed 3 enemy while under the affect of the flashbang. It is not a big deal at all.

That flash bang could easily have been a round from a noob-toob that would have resulted in death right there and then. The spec opps 'n sniper prolly would have been able to take down any survivers anyway.

BTW, I've already been flashed and managed to kill the guy who did it with a little blind firing. Took his gear and hand some fun with it.

I'm not saying that the SF toys are worthless, I'm pointing out that they have advantages and dissadvantages just like everything else.

I'm sitting here lookin at your stats, and your K/D ratio is .71. In short that means you suck a bunch of ass. Every single kit you have more deaths than kills. You have nothing on the + side of things. You are terrible. All i see you post is crap about how you own 32 man servers with you as the only person on the other team and blah blah blah.

Leave you're ego at the door, and stop making up stories about you being Superman at BF2. According to your stats, you suck loads of ass.

With that said....the Sniper and Spec ops wouldnt have taken out any more of us. A nade launcher would have gotten 1 MAYBE 2 of us, sinc we were spread out. Snipers suck at short range anyway. The point is we had a good shot of taking that flag, and were taken down buy a PURCHASED "cheat".

Its gay to say the least.

The F2000 and other guns are FINE.....flashbangs/teargas have NO room in BF2 regular.

Cry babies. The flash bang is not a show stopper in the least. I've been flashed several times and it is NOT A BIG FREAKIN' DEAL. There is no teargas in BF2(Hmm, I think). Just the flashbang.

When I and 5 other players all cant see ANY thing....and some *** gets to walk in an just shoot with no opposition. It's a big deal.

So let's hear your story about how flashbangs dont hurt you and you "blind fire" and knock the side of a building over ontop of 12 squads and single handedly win the map. ***.

i hate how i havent bought the SF expansion but people who have can use the new weapons. i just hate being flashbanged and i have to go out of my way to pick up a pack to get it. its just a bummer for now!

IMO, the problem is not having to pick kits for it. It's the fact that I can't defend my self with a gas mask, available only in the expension!
This is refered in real world as...Extoresion. Plain and simple. This is excatlly what it is.

er.. what?? Gas mask is no defense against a flashbang and teargas didn;t make it to BF2 (thankfully)...

I hae the expansion and I do think the inclusion of the flashbang in orginal BF2 is questionable as, unlike the other unlocks, it can change how the game is played with out being available to everyone...

Uhm, why do you need a gas mask in BF2? I do not think the tear gas is available in BF2 and a gas mask isn't going to protect you from a flashbang.

I play the Assault kit alot, G3 or toober, depending on the map. How much more horrible is the bang? I don't quite see how it is teh pwnage or cheap or whatever else you want to call it.

Your squad is incoming, I've got my G3 kit, I hurl my nades at your unsuspecting squad = dead squad. I one day I may unlock bangs, repeat procedure, now I have a squad of blind soldier to pick off. The only thing I can see is that its embarassing. Either way, your squad was taken out. It matters not how it happens, you're still staring at a 15 second timer.

How is that cheap/etc? Please clarify for this aged gamer, as I don't quite see the point of the post. HOWEVER, I do completely agree that servers should have the option of turning on/off SF unlocks, since they can turn on/off unlocks altogether.

It's real easy. Uninstall/Reinstall and add patch 1.03. There are still plenty of servers still running 1.03 and we are still getting points.

BF2 is the best game on the internet...Go buy the damn expansion and stop complaining. You'll be glad you did, and then when and if you get tked just punish. The ignorant and 'tards will hate you for awhile but they'll get over it.

Nah, don't buy it if you don't want it. Stick to 1.03 or just start TKing every team member you see using an SF unlock, and then take his kit. Soon the SF owners will start complaining that angry comrades are killing them for their weapons.

flash bangs are pointless I have SF and trust me people just use them to **** off people w/o SF If u can get a flash grenade close to someone why not use a grenade and blow them up? Also smoke comes in more handy I think it works great as a distraction

If you feel so ****ed about EA screwing the BF2 owners over (I do in principle).. Good marketing yes, but sucks for us...

But if you feel ****ed over it... **** EA over.. ... get a SF buddy to do the account swap trick... presto chango.. SF unlocks without SF:laugh: :laugh:
