Yes i used the EA Downloader had nps at all im in australia and can play now just no one playing atm .

I also backed this up to DVD and can install off it, just have to remeber to install BF2 first as this has your CD-Key happy hunting

I'm downloading it now, and plan on burning it on a DVD so I won't have to download it ever again.
But where is the installer for the game?
Like I know it downloaded to my computer but where is it?

If you burn the SF installer to a CD i doubt you need EA downloader at all.

If you notice you have the image of BF2:SF on your hard drive so all you have to do is burn it to a dvd and its backed up.

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader\cache\YOURLOGINNAME\eagamesbf2-2006online_contentbf2-ep1

Replace the "yourloginname" with your name you logged into EA downloader with. The last part should be the same but I am not positive so just go into your EA downloader folder and keep clicking until you see the contents of the cd. Should have a setup.exe, autorun.inf and so on.

Downloading right now.

It`s odd though. The downloader says "1GB of 1GB" downloaded, but it still has about 1/6 left of the progression bar and about 2hrs left. Odd.

I downloaded it last week in about an hour and unlocked it about 10:03 AM Tuesday. Then I had to patch it to play multiplayer and have had only 2 problems. Once I was disconnected from a server after the end of a match and the other time it was a CTD after my firewall did a pop-up window asking me to allow another program (auto update) to access the web. After that I remembered to disable my firewall to play. No problems since then.

OK, so I`ve downloaded it now, but to my shocking discovery I have to wait 8hrs for it to unlock.

I don`t understand why on earth that is so? It`s out in the shops in america already and some europeans have allready gotten their hands on it. Now I have to wait even though I have all the files and stuff that is needed???

Every time i go to purchase the damn game online i get a "web page error" it says its an internal error with thier server, but it seems like everyone else is getting though fine. I've tried making another account with no prevail. Hmm...anyone else having this problem?
