I'm not sure if anyone knows, but in vanilla BF2 1.12 you can edit the files to give yourself the SF weapons (well at least the ones people can use against you) in singleplayer/lan games.

See what 5 mins of editing can do:

The stuff is definately there to mod in if you want, and there's also a "jep_technical" which I haven't gotten to work yet (but all I've done is attempt to spawn it in with no other modding...yet).

The new weapons are simply set to unlocklevel 2, is it for certain someone with vanilla BF2 can't go up to unlocklevel 2 when they earn a new unlock? I don't really see how this is prevented seeing as all the code is there, the kits already have the code in them and everything to recognize it.

Ok...can somebody post EXACTLY how to unlock the SF weapons? I have had 2 unused unlocks saved up for just this purpose and I do not get any SF weapons showing up on my scroll through list of unlock weapons.

Do SF unlocks show up on the splash screen the same way the vanilla BF2 unlocks did?

Maybe it's because I have not logged any 'official' time on a SF ranked server yet...

I answered my own question by joining a ranked SF server and playing a round..even got a new 'specialist' badge..nice.

Anyway, all I did was Logout and Login again and sure enough..now I have a ton more unlocks to choose from

Yesterday I bought SF. I already had the G36c unlocked. I played maybe an hour or 2 and got the option for an unlock and chose the SCAR lite. Afterward I went to a regular BF2 server and have used it ever since. The only soldiers who can use the SCAR are US marine MEC and Chinese special forces. None of the new soldiers in SF can use it. Go figure.

I have 26000 points now, so I need 24000 more to get a SF unlock in regular BF2?

Or are the ammounts for SF unlocks in BF2 different?

When you get a SF unlock, do you no longer have access to the vanilla BF2 unlock? I don't have SF yet, just curious.

I'll tell the whole forum when i pick up the scar, the SCAR s my fav gun as you know.

Yeah SCAR and F2000 are about = although F2000 is better at close range and SCAR is more accurate/better at long ranges.

The good thing is, that if you get SF, you don't have to unlock the weapons to get them, only if you are playing in the vanilla maps. DOes anybody know if you have 1.12 if you could unlock the SF weaopns without the expansion? One of my accounts is getting close to Sergeant (not Eddy01741, another one).
