I also have the problem and i have a ATI Radeon. Everybody has this problem it seems, and its just not a video card manufacturer issue. I hope ea/dice come up with a patch quick. i used to love playin this game but now its unbearable . world of warcraft for now until this gets straightend out. btw, freak all you guys with an SLI rig lol j/k

im having problems with every map too

bf2 runs smooth as butter and bf2:sf lags a bit at best, night maps are just terrible

I noticed a drop in frame rates as well, but the game looks better. Same settings as before but the games looks sharper and more detailed. I have better lighting effects and more pronounced shadows even with shadows and lighting at low. They done did something....Games still seems to run smooth even at 30-40fps. I'm running the 81.95's so that may be part of it. My son has better eyes then me so I asked him and he agreed.

81.95s are running great for me

Dynamic lights low
Textures medium
Rest at high
no stuttering at all

Same problem with me, nite maps mostly. Orig. BF2 was running 40-90 FPS, 1600x1200 high settings, new BF2 SF ran in the 20's or less, Lowered resolution to 1024x768, all settings high and now run 20-35 fps. I'm getting the 3.4 extreme CPU chip, bought on ebay for $727.00, hope it helps alot.

Reinstalling both BF2 and BF2:SF then patching didn't work for me. Neither did rolling back my drivers.

No its not (not SF at those settings). My specs blows the doors off yours (8800 in 3dmark05 as well), and Im having performance issues with these new maps. Please no more misinformation.

I had the 77.01 I believe drivers and just updated to the latest 81.95 off the nvidia site and walah my fps probs are gone. I am back up to 75-100!
