Well for those of you that are having trouble you can download this little app. Modifies the Reg entry for you. NOTE: It changes it back to C:\program files
I(author of said program) nor Steve the Bum or its hosting company are responsible for any Damage/Crashes/Etc. caused by this software. There are no warranties or implied warranties. User uses at their own risk.
Now that all that is out of the way.
BF2_Patch_Installer.exe
Just place the patch installer in the same directory as the v1.12 patch and load it up. Input the directory you want to use(if you dont have 3gig on your c: but you have that on d:\ simply change "c:\program files" to "d:\program files") Press launch and the setup will launch. Leave this BF2_patch_installer running Until setup finishes.
If you run into a problem or it crashes run BF2_patch_installer AGAIN and choose
"Reset" to change your reg. back to the default c:\program files
