As for what the hook looks like....why the hell are you staring at it? I think this is a lame attempt at the whole "we all hate EA cause its cool" syndrome. EA didnt make the hook like that and Im glad dice did, helps with rendering and the hook doesnt have to look great... you use it for a few sec and than pick it up....now if the guns looked like that...............

The first thing that took my attention when the people started reviewing BF:SF is the terrible graphics quality. It definitly does not match the original bf2 quality.

It's just that little things like this can ruin the game for you. BF2 for example is a really great game on paper, and if you read all the reviews you're astonished. But then there are these little things that start to bother you after the first hype has gone away.

I used both the zip line and hook to get in a better position and remove threats from the roof-tops. It was really great. Everything went so smooth I felt like I was in a movie. This was well worth the small price and both of those tools are VERY useful. Some of you have the biggest chip on your shoulder for some reason. If you don't like it within the first two seconds, it's 'useless'... Of course it's useless if you don't try to use it correctly.

You think that's sad? I had to ask how to use the damn thing. :laugh:

I kept running at it and jumping while hitting the up key... I tried SO many times that I got the grappling hook badge. :p


I love being able to use the zip-line and turn around and grab it again. You can get just about anywhere now!

The hook and line are great. The line looks like that pic when you miss the roof and it falls at your feet, learn to use it and its great. What IS anoying though is when you are on someone elses zipline, they get off, grab it when they are done, it disappears and you fall on your azz!! PLease look to see if team mate is on it before you grab it back!! :)

ALso I didnt get a good shot with the zipline, but can you shoot and kill an enemy with the zipline crossbow??

I believe that if you right click at the edge, the line will drape down the side of the wall.
