I've always enjoyed using Steam, a very convenient functional gaming platform if you ask me.

Never had any problems with it either.

Your not buying it because its for steam? What excuse is that?

All steam is doing is distributing the game, RO doesnt use any engines that Valve have made, like source etc, it uses the Unreal 2.5 engine, and when Unreal 3.0 engine is realeased, it will use that.

No, and I don't see how a program can distribute games, you mean Valve? im not buying it because I can't play it thats why, I want to play it yes, but Steam doesn't want me to play anything, fact is it would help if I was able to log into my Steam account in the first place, had cs for such a long time, then Valve comes along puts Steam in so it went fine at first then suddenly the problem hit ''could not connect to the Steam network'' when trying to log in, hmm tech support no use and in 7 months of me having this problem, their only answer is 'its not a Steam problem its a user problem' ok so even if it is my problem, the least they could do is tell me the source of the problem or at least research it, providing consumer satisfaction, im not the only one with the problem, others have just gave up with this problem and sold their Steam accounts, but I like playing games on my Steam account, well did until I have no choice now. Only game I play now is BF2, I want to play CSS etc but with 7 months and no fix, do you expect me to be optomistic on this being solved?

Cool. Thanks for the heads up. I just bought a second videocard and rent's due next week so dunno if I can afford it right now but I'll almost definately buy it as soon as I've got some dough. Tax return should be deposited in my account any day now =)

because everyone is talking about steam ive got a related question

when i try to play counter strike source i get very high pings 999+ so it totally unplyable i cant even move

this only started happening a couple of months back strange because i can play hl2 dm completly fine no lag just seems to be css that im having problems with

No, Muzza, it's standalone. You don't need anything else to play it.
