Mines and claymores can be detonated by something exploding nearby it, but C4 cannot.

Do you remember seeing the big AT missile still strapped on the guy's back at the time he went flying? Because if he would have changed kits then his clothing/equipment would have changed and he would no longer have had the AT missile on his back. I can't say I've had anything quite like that happen before in all my time playing. Could be a bug or something I suppose, but I doubt it was a hack.

Is it true that after the 1.03 patch that certain explosive ordinance (c4, mines, etc.) can be blown up by a grenade or maybe even shooting it? Perhaps he shot a c4 pack that was near you placed by another player? It seems like something weird like that happened to me recently

Oh my god, I recall just now, probably it was *ME* who loaded C4's in the Vodnik :) :cry:

Possible scenario: The guy missed the AT rocket, but it was a very narrow alley so the blast radius of the rocket which hit the wall just beneath the Vodnik should have triggered the C4's to explode and the guy who launched the rocket was credited for the kill. Wow!.. :|:

Jethro and Talus, thanks for your useless replies, but I would not post it here if I was not sure the guy had any kits or corpse around him.

another example of ur noobness is that u actually believed C4's can be detonated by being shot with bullets or by other explosion. if you have actually played as a spec ops for a few rounds, u should know that the only situation that C4 can be exploded w/o the detonator is the object with the C4's on it explodes itself, such a kamikaze car.

and also, if that was the case as u said, the kills would have only been granted to the C4's owner, not the guy who launched the rocket.

Well that would be a logical explanation, except that C4 cannot be destroyed by rockets or explosives, but only by detonating them manually (or putting them on a vehicle that blows up and takes the C4 with it a-la jihad jeeps). They changed the mines and claymores to allow other people to destroy them using grenades and other explosives, but C4 is the same as it's always been, so that couldn't have been what caused it.

obviously u are the one that is having problems to understand what u read. you dont have idea what u said, do u? read ur previous posts.

With just a quick glance at your tag I notice you have logged nearly 300 hours of gameplay with less than 14K global points.

That works out to a whopping .78 points per minute, and we are the noobs?

The real "example of one of the BF2 community" as you put it, is wussyboys like yourself that come here and make threads every time someone kills you or cries "OMFG H4X" simply because "No one is that good"

what about when you strap c4 on the bumper of a vehicle and ram someone.. the vehicle explosion causes it to detonate.

HMMM.. lets see, I have all the Vet badges except for Sniper & Support, 2 classes that I never play and each requires a minimum of 15 hours played as that class.
Now if I cared about getting those 2 I would play them more... But I don't.
Perhaps when it is time to get the Marksman infantry medal I will go after those 2.

The only 2 ribbons I dont have are Staff Officer ribbon and the War college ribbon.
Staff Officer would require me to play as a Commander and I really dont go for that, that position is for RTS nerds.
War college has a rediculous 3:1 win/loss ratio requirement and I have pretty much accepted that is not gonna happen playing in pubs.

I do have Expert Spec Ops badge, and if I dont go out of my way to jihad jeep people I am not gonna get the 23 C4 kills/round reqiured for Veteran explosive ordinance badge. Not really a priority at the moment.

Look for me in game and I will pwn yer face punk.
