Yesterday when I was on "The Rockers" clan server in the Sharqi Peninsula map I drove a Vodnik and met an AT guy (whose name I dont recall) in a small alley. First he send me a rocket and missed. I got the machine gun and started to spray him. He ran towards me and throw a C4 and then blasted it. We both died but I did still not know how he carried the AT gun and the C4 at the same time.
AT guy with C4?!

Re: AT guy with C4?!
He probably picked up a spec ops kits from a dead comrade or enemy nearby after firing the rocket.
I do it all the time...if I see a dead medic or support kit...I pick it up and toss myself 3 health packs or 3 ammo packs and then pick my old kick back up again. Voila...supplies for me

This is just another example of one of the most prominent features of the BF2 community, calling everyone as noob without looking on the mirror.Originally posted by JethroYes, its a hack called "Pick_up_another_kit_while_dumb_noob_is_confused.e xe"

Jethro, thanks for your useless reply, but I would not post it here if I was not sure the guy had any kits or corpse around him.Comment

Re: AT guy with C4?!
Sorry Hellguard, but I'd say there's a 95% chance that the guy just picked up another kit and you missed it while you were changing positions on the Vodnik. Sure, could he have been using some kind of "all weapons" hack, maybe. But in almost all cases, the answer is the most obvious option.Comment

Re: AT guy with C4?!
I still think that the 5% possibility was effective here because while I saw the guy launching the AT rocket I had a clear view of the alley and the ground was clean. Furthermore do you think it is possible to launch an AT rocket, pressing W to starting to run, pressing G to switch to another kit, pressing 5 to get the C4, pressing left click, right click and left click again all in a time while I switch position in the Vodnik?.. I wish I had a screenshot.Comment

This was a possibility, in fact I first suspected another guy C4'ed me approaching from behind, but the screen message reported the same name who killed me with C4 is no more.Originally posted by Wolfgang AbenteuerMaybe there was a second spitter...er...shooter?

Re: AT guy with C4?!
Spec Ops are a sneaky lot. They're kind of like ants - for every one you see there are four you don't. So chances are while you were shooting at the AT guy a spec ops soldier came up behind you, dropped some C4 and blew you (and himself) up. Kind of a waste to do that to someone in a Vodnik, but maybe he was going for his explosives badge or something. *shrugs* I have it happen all the time where I'll do a quick 360 in a vehicle to make sure there are no spec ops guys around, then about two seconds later I blow up from C4. Sometimes I swear they must be wearing some kind of cloaking device. :p

With just a quick glance at your tag I notice you have logged nearly 300 hours of gameplay with less than 14K global points.Originally posted by hellguardJethro and Talus, thanks for your useless replies, but I would not post it here if I was not sure the guy had any kits or corpse around him.
That works out to a whopping .78 points per minute, and we are the noobs?
The real "example of one of the BF2 community" as you put it, is wussyboys like yourself that come here and make threads every time someone kills you or cries "OMFG H4X" simply because "No one is that good"
I say good day to you.

Re: AT guy with C4?!
Wolfgang, I saw the corpse of the AT guy in front of me flying in the air during the blast so he was surely dead and it is only two reported casualties. If a third guy is involved and survived the scene, he should be credited at least for killing me, but the killer was the "no more" guy.
btw, thereafter I asked the guy by typing "how can you have AT rocket and c4 at the same time" a couple of times, he didnt replied, but he may not paid attention to the screen.Comment

Re: AT guy with C4?!
Is it true that after the 1.03 patch that certain explosive ordinance (c4, mines, etc.) can be blown up by a grenade or maybe even shooting it? Perhaps he shot a c4 pack that was near you placed by another player? It seems like something weird like that happened to me recentlyComment

Jethro, I didnt call you noob, but I stated the general urge to call everyone other than themselves as noob. In addition, note that I did not and will never claim any superiority or skill. On the other hand, did you feel you have the right calling everyone with a less score than you as a noob? English is not my native language, but I think "noob" means "newbie", so if I may be taken for a newbie or noob after 300 hours of gameplay (which you find more than enough), no probs, I appreciate it.
I only posted here something I find odd to find out any help e.g. similar observations, maybe some info about a rare bug or glitch, maybe a hack or a logical explanation which I may overlook.Comment
