If you found the PATCH.ERR file then could you please post the contents in this thread?

It doesn't matter where you or I installed the game. All that matters is that you have 3.5Gb free on E: for SF and 2Gb free on C: for the patch.

Ok. I installed the 1.12 patched earlier today (but not SF) and I *think* that we have the same file except I don't remember seeing this in mine :

Though this shouldn't be stopping you from installing the patch. I won't be home for another 90 minutes so I can't be sure about the pbcl.dll (which is a punkbuster file).

Dandy, there are about 2 people on these forums that have SF, that's all.

While it may be worthless have you tried to contact EA via their support forums?

I have exactly the same problem :hmm: The same as with the previous patches, I get the "patching failed" message and I can't install Special Forces because of that. It would be easier if you could install only the game and then the patch seperately. Because as it is now I can't even install the game.

The person who comes up with a solution to this should be rewarded by gaining all unlocks or something

There must be a way around this like it was whit the patches. Can't we just unzipp the game from the disc into the folder
