Can't install SF

I have had the Patching problem for quiete some time, so i have istalled the patches an alternative way.

I finnaly got SF, but now i cant istall it. It says uppgrading to 1.2, then it says the same as it use to say when i patch the game, "patch failed"
and then the istallasion quits. I couldnt get it to work, so i istalled only the patch by cpoying it from the disc and then use cmd. The patch works fine whit BF2, but when i try to the same thing happends again.

Anyone who can help me install it or nows why i cant install the patches correct? I have tried unistall the game several times but this hasent helpt,

I allso got 100 gig of free space, and got it istalled on defuelt directory.

Please help me,

With the 1.03 patch there was a patchlog.txt file created in /my docs/BF2/dmp/ which explained why it didn't work. Could you see if it's there please?

no my "program files" is emty, does that mean anything?

My BF2 installasion is istalld under "E:\Program\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"

Your 'program files' dir is empty??????

Do you have a PATCH.ERR file anywhere on your computer?

Most likely, you have all your programs under c\program or e\programs or something.

If you have it on E: then this is NOT the default dir (which is C:)

You must have 4-5Gb of free space on C:

If you don't have at least 4 gigs on your C: drive then that is why the patch is failing.

Clear some space up, you should have a minimum of 5 gigs free on C at any time, just for unpacking compressed files.

i got 7,5gigs free space on C: drive, C and E is the same drive im using norton ghost

my folder "program files" excists on E: drive

serching my computer for "PATCH.ERR"

I found it under "E:\Program\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"

Ok. Same physical drive, different logical drive :)

I don't have SF so I can't really help you but when you say 'patch' are you talking about the install of SF or something else?

When the first patch came out it all started, i couldn't install it, it just said "Patch failed".

But i found a way to go around it, by installing via run and then cmd.

But now when i install SF, it starts by saying "uppgrading to version 1.2", then the regular message commes up saying "Patch failed" and the the installasion quits.

I tride to go around it by installing only the patch from the disc. It works fine, but i still cant install SF because, the installasion cant uppgrade to 1.2

Im getting desperat,

Why does it do like this, do i have the wrong install directory?? I tried to install vanilla BF2 on C:\Prgram\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2" and the patch it but the same problem happend again.
