Its more then just online vrs offline, ps3 has always been geared more towards games that dont require precise actions like final fant, gta, silent hills, and some others. xbox has more FPS and other games that require fast and precise movements. Neither is better then the other they are just different playing types and both consoles dip in the other side but its just the way most of the games are for the systems.

Why are people making such a big deal about HDTV's?

Even if you have an HDTV, isn't 720p's equivalent 1280x720?

Well, playing PC games at 1600x1200 or higher looks A LOT better then 1280 or any lower resolution.

Well I just went to best buy today and saw that there was no one at the xbox360 demo setup, so I was like “sweet, all to myself to try out”. I go over and the first thing I load up is COD2. I quickly noticed that it’s the same demo I have on my computer, but looks much better on my computer, wft? I figured it would a little bit better then on my PC, but it looks worse. Aliasing like a m*therf*cker. Sure the demo is played with standard TV resolution, but if you have to buy an HDTV to get rid of that, is that worth 1-2 grand?? On the PC, 1280 w/2xAA gets rid of aliasing pretty much completely and at 1600 w/2xAA the game just looks even better. PC gaming is sooo much cheaper if you are willing to buy an HDTV for this console.

Man, I feel like the 360 is nothing more then a current gen. PC. Sure it’s a big improvement over the original xbox, but that’s about it.
I was just really not impressed that I just left. There’s no point in wasting my time playing that system, when I have an equivalent (and in many ways better) system sitting at home on my desk.

Yes the the xbox360 isn't that great at all over a currect pc. I mean, if it wasn't for the xbox360's exclusives (perfect dark zero.. PGR3... halo.. gears of war) There would be no reason to buy the system other than if your a console gamer... or you whant the exclusives.

Kinda sad.. gotta hate those greedy corperations..

the 360's layout designer/model designer is my classmate's uncle, and he came from Washington to give us a little look at the 360.....a month before release. :)

i played the demo version of F.E.A.R. cus i played with the guy on various XBL games :-D

idk what these people are complaining about with crashing systems. they should just ask for another 360 from microsft, not sueing them. (even though i am a mac guy)

but the graphics are INCREDIBLE on HDTV's. He popped in Halo 2, and i almost **** my pants!

either way i cant get a 360, but wahtever, just my 5 cents

Dude, FEAR hasn't even been announced as a working title on the xbox360, theres no way you could have played it on Xboxlive..

Why would Halo 2 surprise you on an xbox360? They graphics aren't any better except resolution-and that is the tv, not the console.

XBox controler have two thumb pads and one disk pad. You can control anything you want (planes, cars, soldiers, tanks and even a stroumpf ).

note: I don't have a console but I have tried it and they (Ms, Sony) make good controlers :)

2 control sticks control it for wasd and the mouse making it simpler then using keyboard and mouse. Not as good as a joystick but decent none the less. Asides that there are about 4 buttons and 4 shoulder buttons that you might use. It is infact simpler then a keyboard, just not as precise as if using a mouse.
