I do not consider that to be a bug. even if it were a bug then it is a very minor one and does not even worth mentioning.

My guess is that it is not a bug. I said that in the past and let me say it again: What type of animation you want to have before using the DAO? I do not think this needs any "fix".

I saw the video and I still belive that it is not a big deal.

As you can see in the video, the MEC SMG comes out shooting the moment I press the 3 key. Unfortunately, I was not able to record sound with fraps for some reason. But I can assure you that the gun is already firing before the gun even appears on the screen! If you do not believe my claims, you are welcome to go try it out yourself!

the other thread was full of flaming, i think, it's because of the topic title, where it says "Quick Switch Whores".

Any bug is worth mentioning! This is something that EA QA badly needs to learn, apparently.

No, it's not a major bug and not a big deal to game play, but it's still good to catch 'em.

The weapon still needs to be drawn. I did some more testing and every other weapon (even the knife!) has at least a slight delay involved.
So yeah, more than likely it's a real for real harry legged bug.

So basically If I pull out lets say a support gun, and I hit the fire button, I will see an animation but it will be firing and registering hit if someones is coming towards me ?

Well then wouldn't a better title for your old thread have been "MEC anti-tank weapon switch exploiters" as apposed to something as general as "weapon switching whores"?

you should because now AT people can shoot a rocket at you while you're prone and start shooting a DAO/SMG at you before the rocket even gets there. or they can shoot you with a rocket and make you bail from your vehicle then hit you with their DAO/SMG before you even have a chance to see where they're at.
