too many trolls, flamers and clueless idiots were ruining my other thread so i have decided to create another with VIDEO PROOF that this is an exploit

As you can see in the video, the MEC SMG comes out shooting the moment I press the 3 key. Unfortunately, I was not able to record sound with fraps for some reason. But I can assure you that the gun is already firing before the gun even appears on the screen! If you do not believe my claims, you are welcome to go try it out yourself!

    EDIT:

FOR SOME INSANE REASON, EVERYONE IS TOO DENSE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT SO I HAVE DECIDED TO RESTATE MYSELF IN SOMETHING THAT KINDERGARTNERS CAN UNDERSTAND:

to prove my point that it's unfair, just awhile ago i was playing as sniper and hit someone once then "quick switched" to my pistol and got the kill. sounds like a normal scenario, except for the fact that there was absolutly no lagtime at all between me switching to pistol, and firing which effectively turned me into an AUTOSNIPER.

this was long range too, i didn't have to position my mouse at all to aim for the next shot, it was just shoot my M95, switch to pistol and shoot again. the whole procedure happens so quickly that it's like firing an AUTOSNIPER.

it's only a matter of time before someone abuses this in a script or a hack somehow.

Switching to it while holding the AT launcher and NOT firing a shot causes a minor delay before you can shoot.

The thread is legit... if a little oddly titled.

Well, now they have a video showing them what it is. I'm sure you'll see it a lot more now.

how is this an exploit? the at smgs animation is just slow, you can instant fire em all the time.

                  So...

                  Exploit?

Can you define the meaning of exploit?

Bingo. The server sees a weapon change only, it doesn't see animations. Since the client handles animations, you're the only person seeing it, but the server is telling you that you're firing, so it draws a firing gun as you pull it out. Not so much of an exploit as lack of insight from EA/DICE to put the delay in there.

The thing is that other weapons DO have a delay on 'em.
Check out ANY support weapon. It takes the longest time to be able to fraw and fire those big fellas.

Since there is a delay for all other weapons, I suspect that this is actually a real for real bug. It's fairly minor and something that isn't going to break the game, but it's still a bug and worth noting.

Bit should be working for Dice or EA as a tester! Obviously they need help!

I would care but the gun is a piece of crap, so it's not like there going to kill you with it anyway, they might as well have taken there time aimming the missile at you in the first place.

Ummm... I hate to even speak it publicly, but it works for the DAO too.
