If dice really had TRIBES in mind when they coded bf2.....why didn't they include Shazbot as one of the commo rose commands? I would love to globally shout Shazbot! when I got a really ****ty death or something along those lines.

lol good ol tribes... the BF series kinda reminds me of the tribes without jetpacks... after all tribes had virtually all the features the BF series had years prior... if only TV had been done a little better with VOIP and a few other things... like a decent publisher shame on Vivendi for killing the series.

Ah...the good old days of the extensive T:V voice chat.
I wish BF2 had tons of voice commands like Tribes Vengeance, which quite possibly had over 100. The fun part was that you said something on quick chat in T:V and then said something else before the first phrase was done playing they wouldn't overlap like in BF2. The first phrase would stop and the second phrase would start. For example, here are some things you could say in Tribes Vengeance:
"You idiot."
"Never"
"Dance"
"For freedom"
"Shazbot"
So you could make it sound as if your character was saying "You never dance for shazbot!" if you were really fast with the quickchat. Some people found that annoying but I thought it was the greatest thing since kill damage assists.Comment

Tribes, by Sierra, was one of the greatest games every created. It was what got me into the whole FPS scene. Not to mention the unique aspect of Jetpacks was amazing.
Tribes 2 and Tribes Vengeance ruined it, in my opinion.

Tribes 2 kicked a lot of arse.
T:V was ruined because the devs listened to the people that never got past T1.
As for the Tribes quick chat vs BF2's commo rose... I'm not sure. I liked Tribes quick chat, but you had to memorize SO many damned key combos. The comrose is kinda handy now that I'm getting used to it.
If I were to make a FPS I would impement both systems, I think. Make a comrose that you can access via quick keys.Comment

I'm running a BF2 Server now, and many of my old Tribes players are coming back, so I think the Tribes guys love BF2 (I certainly do)..
