Re: Black Hawk Whoring... not dead!

I kept getting wasted on mashtuur last night by the blackhawk on the <<R2>> server, the guys in it were doing a great job, I have to admit.

I still think it's not cool that the US's transport chopper is so much better than the MECs and China's...but hey, all the more fun for me when the teams are switched.

VeNg3nCe^, I think I saw you last night...you blew me away so when I respawned, I sniped you in the head. :P Medic got you just before I took him down though, just moments before the round ended I think..

I notice absolutely no difference in the BH mini guns. I like the fact more people aren't using them because I will take it, prop it up on a hill and rape a base until they beg for mercy!

Re: Black Hawk Whoring... not dead!

i got my best kill streak in a Bh on mashtur city after the 1.03 patch..

i prefer to use the Bh as support vehicle for my team. fly circles around the enemy base and mow down every moving thing you see. a few enigneers in the back to repair and a good pilot the understands landing is not good .

but yes it is hard to find a good blackhawk crew.it sucks being the only one to repair a vehicle and miss out on kills.

The BH is a teamwork vehicle. On a random pub without any teamwork, it's not as good as it can be. A BH with only a pilot is nothing too great. A full BH is a great threat. The passengers in the back seats can fire their weapons with unlimited ammo as long as one chaingun is manned by a support guy.

Specops in the back seat can make the BH a bomber - throw down packs of C4 on the ground and blow them up. If the pilot circles a bit, that works well to blow an entire enemy base. An interesting partner to the specop guy can be an AT guy blowing vehicles or (really unorthodox) a sniper throwing down claymores.

The difference between BHs now and before is simply that they now take teamwork to be effective. Even without great teamwork as above, they can be effective in their actual role of transports. For example, it's obvious that a support guy and a specop guy in enemy base can stir up a lot of trouble. Get them into your BH and drop them off at the enemy base. Transporting should not be underestimated.

This is true, you have to have the correct people to survive with the BH, the best time and I had fun was when we had 2 engys medic and support and whomever else wants to be, and layed havoc on Monster Mash, really good because we got rammed twice because thats the only way to take us down. Eventually stole thier copter.

Yup... it takes good teamwork to use the BHs effectivly. That's prolly why I like 'em so much.

It also takes teamwork to take 'em down. Er, if you don't include plane rams.
