i was like wtf? IRC and TS are totally two different things. that cracked me up. i told my former clanmates about that hilarious comments on vent, so everyone had a great break during scrims.
Apart from one being text and the other being audio they can be used in the same way. I've seen plenty of clans advertise their TS address and welcome users on to it if they would like to speak to a clan member.

yes but that's just what some clans do, personally i wouldnt give out my TS or vent addresses to non clan members (except for tryouts, that's a diff story). they are for private use only, i believe that's also one of the primary purposes of these tools, when it comes to a clan TS/vent server.
