i love to use the boob-Toob on snipers....never up close though, thats bad...and never bunny-hopping....it takes skill to lob the grenade perfectly on top of a prone sniper up on the hill from a distance

No it takes absolutely no skill to do at all, people kept doing it to me as i already stated so i decided to do it back and basically killed them all and it was the first time i have ever tried it, anyone who does it sucks.

you have to wonder at what point in the game someone says to himself, "man i suck at this game. i'm just going to use the m203 for every kill because i don't actually have to hit the person to kill them. just as long as its close enough."

what i really hate is the people who use the m203 as if its the primary fire of that weapon and shoot it at point blank and bunny hop or i die but they don't.

Yeah, that's what I mean. The original poster was implying that using the grenade launcher takes no skill.

If you practice with the thing, you can lob them dozens of meters to kill infantry. And if you get really good, you can consistently waste light jeeps on the move.

Some people fail to recognize this as skill though, usually because their on the losing end of the ordeal.

I just love it when the noobtubers miss and I shoot them out of the air. The bodies sure do fly!

Heh I was banned once for point blank nading (and generally being an irritant like shooting the corpse of the admin when I got revived after point blank nading him) I don't do it as a habit it usually happens when I've got the thing out and someone pops around a corner. Yes, its totally skill-less, but I also consider it a valid tactic if you're the only one capping a flag, especially once that flag is gray.

Excessive hopping is an order of magnitude more annoying IMO

noob tubing.......as its commonly called...is actually really fun. As some have said, after using it for a while, that gun, along with anything else in the game, you become (hopefully) pretty good with it. I enjoy using it and consider myself fair to moderately adept to using it at just about any range, where i can see. That said... i can honestely say it is very easy to use/master. So......i tend to use alot of other weapon/hand, anymore. However, on those close, infantry battles...why fight it? The nade launcher is the best weapon, bar none.

The newb tube rocks to kill infantry...Many a time when im not using Assault come up behind someone and start shooting...what do they do? Bunny hop do a 180 and kill me? Im like WTF? But us a newb tube on them...lol makes me happy.

I still think the best thing is to use the newb-tube on a guy bunny hopping...lol then tell him to bunny hop that...awwwww memories.

it takes no skill to use one. Like someone else said, all you have to do is get close. I never use one unless I run out of ammo pick one up and I have no problem shooting moving vehicles or people far away. So I don't know why people brag about being good with it. Anyone could be good with it because all you have to do is get close.

It takes skill to use the tube. Play against any professional tuber and you will get your butt kicked. Only the noobs use regular weapons. All the best players use the tube.

The M203 and the GP-30 are real life weapons. They have a kill radius of about 5 meters. A wound radius of about 15 meters. They are very effective weapons. You'd be an idiot not to use one. Great for shots on Medics in the act of reviving/healing. Great against rail buggies and jeeps. They are part of the game. Get used to it.

Every weapon in this game takes skill to operate them correctly. Some more than others. Sure you can take a fully automatic weapon, lay on the trigger till it reloads, but if you don't keep the X-hair on the victim, you become the victim. The 203 is an awesome weapon. I love using it on Karkand. That first Mec spawn point is the killing grounds for it. I like siting on the hill (as US) and putting them inside the fence clearing the way for my teammates.
As for the original poster, he stated that killing you from 2 feet away is skillless. Landing one on a moving vehicle or someone who is almost out of your sight, is skill.
That is my 2 cents. Take it or leave it.

And real ones have an arming delay so you can't waste someone 2ft away (which is what everyone is complaining about in case you didn't notice; no problems with proper use of the thing).

                                Info on the real thing:

The grenade has an aerodynamic design, with a nose, a tail and two flight fins. The impact trigger, at the nose of the grenade, consists of a movable, spring-mounted panel with an attached firing pin facing inward. As in the time-delay grenade, the fuze mechanism has a percussion cap and a detonator explosive that ignites the main explosive. But it does not include a chemical delay element.

When the grenade is unarmed, the fuze mechanism is positioned toward the tail end, even though it has a spring pushing it toward the nose. It is held in this position by several spring-mounted, weighted pins. The firing pin is not long enough to reach the percussion cap when the fuze is in this position. If the trigger plate is pressed in accidentally, the pin will slide back and forth in the air, and nothing will happen.

When the grenade is fired it begins to spin (like a well-thrown football). This motion is caused by the shape and position of the fins, as well as spiraled grooves inside the barrel of the grenade launcher.

The spinning motion of the grenade generates a strong centrifugal force that pushes the weighted pins outward. When they move far enough out, the pins release the fuze mechanism, and it springs forward toward the nose of the grenade. When the grenade hits the ground, the nose plate pushes in, driving the firing pin against the percussion cap. The cap explodes, igniting the detonator explosive, which ignites the main explosive.
