We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Will the expansion come with a patch for the original game?
Yes, there will have to be a patch available for the original game at the release of the expansion.
Well that is very bad for those who don't want to buy SF, I hope for their sakes it get released on a website somewhere for download, but I doubt EA will do it out of their own free wil :hmm:
And I don't think this is old news, thanks for the link mate.
1) As you advance in rank you will gain access to weapons from the expansion to use in BF2. This means that there are no unique unlocks in the expansion but you unlock the possibility to use weapons from the expansion in the original game.
2) Will there be any new gamemodes in the expansion? There has been a lot of talk about "supply lines"?
No, there won't.
3) Is there any other changes planned for the original game in that patch? The issue about not being able to paste IP addresses into the Join IP window has been a hot topic?
They have a very small amount of time left and very tight deadline in general, so we have chosen to not add any more content.
Looks like they have ended their support for BF2...
They have not ended their support for BF2...they simply didn't want to affect their holiday deadline for the release of SF by futzing around with too much bugfixing.
I'm sure they are already working on a patch that will pick up where the SF patch leaves off.

i kinda like that one, using weapons in sf (that you unlocked) in bf2. also, jets are non-existant in sf!
also, i don't have the link right now but EA US has confirmed that there will be at least one more patch for bf2.
Edit: I'm going to make this the 'official' thread on this issue, please refer all other posters to this thread if they post about this patch elsewhere. :)
i think that's what the article says, too. isn't that a GOOD thing? :hmm:
If I am understanding this right then people with SF will be running about in BF2 with special guns that are only available if you purchase the expansion. Doesn't really sound fair to me...

So if you are not purchasing it - kill the guy with the new weap, pick up his kit - and you get them for free instead of for $30. :P
