Not much. Browser is still buggy (worse than before actually) and planes/helos rule still. It looks like DICE is taking the EA stance on things more and more (of not patching or giving a damn about it's customers).

Umm for everyone here that has a balance issue or complaint about BF2 or SF just wait for POE2 to be released. The mod is shaping up to be exactly what I want in this game. It will totally even things up between ground and air.

I didn't bother reading through all the posts, but this is what I understand:

BF2 (original) will be updated to version 1.1 with BF2: Special Forces, and EA/DICE will be releasing this same patch for BF2 Original.

If you've unlocked the G3, for example, in BF2 Original, then you will have it as an unlock in Special Forces...but I think it can work backwards too, so if you unlock the G3 in Special Forces, you can then go back to BF2 Original and play with it as well. A great move.

From what I understand as well, only certain factions will be receiving new "standard" weapons, and all unlocks for BF2: SF are the exact same as the unlocks in BF2 Original.

Is that clear?

I agree. Well, that and the not being able to have sex with each other. Consider it like a "Hot Coffee Mod", but for BF2.

I got the game on 11/21/05 and I am loving SF. Only a few problems with it you can't use any jets that are right in front of you. You can't use the submarine either that looks like it has a hatch that you can open and get into.

and finally I have ot wait for all the ranked servers to upgrade their servers to the new patch to play bf2 again.

Goods: New vehilces, new weapons, new armies, graphics, I just wish you could use airplanes like a Tranport and drop people of in it, have them jump out and parachute down, land a plane, plane or so many other cool things you can do with a plane. I don't mind there not being any fighter planes because it's special ops, but it would be nice to working submarines and let people dive underwater.

One of the things I've always loved about the BF series is that you can use what's available. I think it's incredibly stupid of them to go backwards in time to the period of other FPS games where you've got stuff (like subs and planes) that you can't use. This was their big selling point. I would much prefer that they don't include these things if you can't use them (and I'm whole-heartedly in favor of not including planes and copters since they are so over powering and DICE seems unwilling to fix this).

If I am understanding this right then people with SF will be running about in BF2 with special guns that are only available if you purchase the expansion. Doesn't really sound fair to me...

Unless I'm wrong what seems to be the porblem. Someone pops up who has the new weapons shoot :shoot: them and there you have a new kit to play with. An all that for free if you don't have the Expanion.
