I always follow the "first come, first served" motto and I had something similar happen to me the other night. We had just finished up a round where I had, something like, a 45-8 in a jet. I figure it's going to be a good night to fly. On the next map, I run over to the hangar and the plane was gone. "Ok, no problem" I'll just wait for the plane to respawn. Not 5 seconds later a guy spawns in and comes running to the hanger with his knife drawn. "Oh this ought to be great", I thought to myself and started to hit the e button. I didn't win. "No problem", I thought, as the F/A-18 climbed into the sky, I'll wait it out again. About 20 seconds later the guy spawns in again and runs toward the hangar. So, “ not only does this guy have no manners, he's not very adept at flying" I thought as we went around again. He won again! Ok now I'm getting ****ed and he spawns again 20 seconds. This time he's dropping c4 all over the inside of the hanger. I type "do it again f'er", he does and wins again. This time though I plant some c4 on his plane and salute. I wait for a bit until he thinks he's safely off the ground and out of site then detonate the c4 and chuckle. The next time around we go again, I win and get c4'ed. After that I gave up and spawned elsewhere. Then the dude initiates a kick vote and fails. Once his kick vote failed he convinced an admin to kick me for intentional TK'ing. I’ve got nearly 200 hours of playtime in and have 225TK’s and I’ve been kicked a grand total of 10 times. I’m not one to make waves, in-game.

If you're waiting for the jet to respawn then clicking, you've already lost.

In a 'click' war with someone for a plane or vehicle, you have to constantly hit your use/enter key for the instant it shows up. You shouldn't lose a face off several times in a row unless there's some system advantage, ping etc..

If you don;t get the vehicle as I've said, go off and do something useful

Someone mentioned that it was 'rude' to not let the first guy there have it and sadly this isn't a deli w/ a 'take a number' system. I'm sure everyone takes advantage of spawning before others and hopping in the good vehicles on the break.

If you actually wait for everyone to spawn then start running for a plane, etc..then please let us know.

Well,

Like I attempted to convey, this all happened in the space of about 2 minutes. The dude kept getting shot down or crashing instantly. It was just luck of the draw that he got the plane before me. I know it's not a take a number system but one would think, that if you see the same player waiting for a plane, one could extend just a smidge of common courtesy. I did move on and ended up being kicked. No biggie though, I was just offering some support to the OP.

you don't have to keep hitting E, just hold the use key and stand in the appropriate spot and you will instantly jump in your whore as soon as it spawns. i've also seen idiots that drive jeeps onto the runway when you're already taking off then exit out of their jeep at the last second so you'll get blown up by the jeep.

I play alot on the same servers full of n00bs, hardly any admins so a lot of plane whores. Because I'm an ok pilot I try to avoid dieing just for the fact that I wont be able to take off without getting C4ed or people ramming.

I'm on your side of your post, I was talking to people who might be actually waiting for the plane to spawn then reaching for the use key. At the same time I didn't know that you could just hold the key, I have always figured to continuously hit the key.

Funniest thing happend last night on Wake, some guy named universal soilder or soemthing keeps trying to get the jet and he still sucks with it. Well anyway he takes a tank and parks it on the runway after someone got the jet. So the guy in the jet just hits the afterburners and rolls right over the tank, it blows up and the guy in the jet just keeps flying. Funniest thing I've seen in weeks.

No prob, I didn't know if you were responding to me or not. On the holding down "e" thing, the only problem I could foresee is holding down the button long too long so that you get in and right back out. Definitely time to move on then.

i do it to people all the time, im the asswipe that will usually tk u for the plane, block the runway, make u tk me, or run u off the runway and into a building while u try to avoid me. Works great at chinese airfield in wake, so funny trying to see them avoid u and going nose first into a buidling.

Here is a reality check for you. I only get a few hours a week to spend on this game that I paid $50+hardware+isp for. I don't really have the time for you to get your kicks being a menace.

this crap has been around since bf1942. "Mine mine mine!" people would cry...and then when someone else would get it..."Mine mine mine!" Boom goes their jeep crashing into their own teammate, or blowing them up with their machine gun.....I like to fly once in a while but usually i cant because of crap like this....the other day was the best flying day i ever had in bf2, because neither my team or the other team really were using jets! it was the craziest thing i ever saw. There was only one person on their team flying and i was the only one on my team flying...and we rarely even did a dog fight, i ignored them and they ignored me...now how rare is that!?

Does anybody see anything wrong in this post. I do. As someone who never flys but does get p***ed of with getting the crap bombed out of them with no chance of shooting back with the crap anti air I thought the idea was for our pilots to try and neutralise the oponents air power not ignore the other pilots and rack up kills from the grunts on the ground.

Next time its one on one I hope you think about this and spend all the time possible involved in dogfights giving the grunts chance to drive their tanks and cap flags without worrying about bombs flying in everytime they get near a flag or enter a tank or apc.

When the other pilots downed then carry on and bomb. Until that happens try and take him out!

Was on a EAUK official 64 man map server playing on Daqinq Oilfields. Was heading towards the J-10 and notice some guy named something like zezzedee wanting it too but I had a better spawn so got their first. After realising I hopped into the jet this arse wipe decides to drive this car in the middle of the runway. Now from using a joystick and having my throttle at full speed I had no chance to slow down and made an attempt to slow down but no luck and basically died. This dude really ****ed me off and decided to TK this SoB as he was headed for the jet. Then someone revived him and again killed him with my AK as soon as he was revived.

Tbh I have never done this but this is getting more and more popular and am beginning to see it on every server. People either park up tanks/cars etc in the middle of the runaway, hell they even stand next to the plane or even jump ontop of helicopters so they could punish you for TK. Considering BF2 Special Forces is out soon I don't really give a crap about my stats anymore so anyone attempting doing **** like this I am simply gonna TK them to ruin their game as they have done mine.

This is the main reason why BF2 sucks.

It has the lamest, most childish player base of any game Ive ever seen
or played.

If this was a rare occurance, or even a small percentage of the player
base, Id say; well thats normal, but BF2 has a HIGH percentage of idiots,
morons, and little kiddies.
