Re: hey, What u think about this?

yea i decieded to cancel it because i read reviews about there horrible service. that rig is down the drain does anyone know of a good company that would get me the same rig for the same amount of cash and that most importantly has excellent customer support and since I'm cancelling I am getting a 7800GTX 512. so anysuggestions could help.

last question, should I risk it and try to get someone to build it for me?

thanks alot u guys u have been very helpful

Hey I'd buy the parts and build it, test it, and OC it all for you.

I've worked at a computer repair shop for almost 2 years, and best buy/geek squad for about 3, so I know what I'm doing.

Your call if you want to trust some random guy you met on the internet though.

Re: hey, What u think about this?

I love reading the misconceptions on this forum day in, day out.

Actually, i dont. Often it makes me want to vomit.

              1. You don't need 2 gigs of ram to run BF2, or to even run it "well". 1024mb is sufficient. Running the game well is going to rely more on system management (IE frequent defrags, cleanups, maintenace of machine, etc).

              2. You dont need an "SLI ready" power supply when running a SINGLE 7800GTX. And while we are on the subject, the wattage of the PS means nothing, check the rails and make sure the 12v and 5v rails are up to snuff on the amperes.

              3. The system you purchased is fine, it will run BF2 on all high (and probably with 16 AF/6AA with no lag. I know this because mine will and its a few steps down from yours.

              4. ATI is junk, stupid overheated problems from trying to boost the clocks to keep up with Nvidia. Nvidia cards might cost a few dollars more but they are built much better, and dont take "shortcuts". My X800 pro does alright but its got too many quirks to be called anything resembling "reliable"

What quirks may you be referring to? Ive had a Sapphire x800Pro for about a year now and never had any problems with it.
