      FF makes it a game rather than an FPS version of Video slots <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, <click>, .

Shoot here, shoot there, my guy's there shooting, shoot at him and hope I hit something.......I have no skill or judgement or patience or vid card.

I saw a video from Iraq where a chopper pilot [likely Apache] takes out three or four vehicles at night and is whooping it up about what a 'bad day' the bad guys just had.... a minute later the radio comes in where they might have been friendlies and then the expected tense banter. Then it's confirmed that he just killed a few vehicles full of fellow americans in their 20's with mom & dad at home crossing their fingers.

He requests permission to go back to base and his commander says 'no' cause he's still got a job to do.

FF is this game, compared with killing real people or getting you -4 for each one, our penalty is a cake walk.

Thank you for your service, Guidon666.

It's having people like you in this gaming community that makes it work. I've had the priviledge of playing with a few active and retired military folks and their teamwork, leadership, and tactics make that squad unstoppable. All bunny-hoppers, grenade spammers, et. all eventually give up their cheap gameplay and try to figure out how to really get the job done to beat people like you. Happily, they seldom do so.

In game Friendly Fire is important so people develope Fire Discipline. I like America's Army's (the game's) way of going about it. If you TK in the first thirty seconds (for a weapon) you are instantly kicked from the server. Otherwise, there's no punish, but there is a maximum Rules of Engagement violation score which, when met, results in an automatic kick. Moreover, teamkilling hurts the whole team, not just the individual you kill, so the votekick system as 'vote kicked for...' explanations built in. If the tking is persistent, or detrimental to the team, you can easily be voted off.

If anything I'd strengthen the FF rules. If you tk someone and pick up their kit, instant kick. If you tk then you cannot enter a vehicle for a countdown timer of 15 seconds or instant kick. I'd get rid of medikits, forcing medics to stay over injured soldiers to heal them to make people care more about not getting shot in game. Finally, every time you tk, you get an extra 5 seconds added to your respawn countdown to give you time to think about it. This would force people to be more careful about who they shoot.
