Warning: The following is more or less a vent. It may or may not turn into an actual discussion. If you don't like this kind of thing and are going to post something like "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh, don't cry about it", please do as you normally would and read it anyway and then post because of the sad fact that you have waaaaaaaayyyyyy too much free time:
I'm SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO tired of losing games and getting half the score I deserve because my team won't follow my orders as commander. I have seen many examples of this, but today, there was a perfect one. I was playing Daqing oilfields (commander both rounds). The first round people followed my orders and we won. The second time though people appearantly thought they would look "1337" if they totally ignored any order I gave without even taking time to analyze what the order was and WE LOST by over 100 tickets. When I brought it up I was quite angry because they seemed to be disobeying orders just for the sake of it (sometimes I'd order them to go somewhere, they'd say no, then do it anyway because they ORIGINALLY planned to). This isn't the first time this has happened.
I'd also like to say the most annoying thing is it is usually the big squads that do this, which is even more annoying. If it was just one lone sniper who made his own one man squad I wouldn't be half as annoyed.

Problem solved.

Commander is a no win situation. If you team starts losing, there's vote kick for commander....whether it's his fault or not. If you win, the team won in spite of the commander....no credit given no matter how well the commander does.
Like the previous poster stated....get commander and eat and watch tv
thank you.
but again, don't do this in karkand. your team really needs a good commander there...

No offense Puglous but most commanders REALLY SUCK!!!!
Guaranteed though, if I ever have you as my commander, I'd follow your orders :)

This brings up an idea. DP, does TotalBF2.com have their own server? If we all play together, we together could make a fun server to play on and root out the idiots that join in from ruining our experience. I'd definitely commit to play on it.

Re: "Why do n00bs think they have the right to tell us experts how to play."
Yes it really does suck when no one listens to you or when that one squad just ingores everything. The best is when they talk back to you and request arty where no one is...
I guess people just don’t get the fact the commander can see everything and probably has a good reason for making you defend...Ya know like another squad is incoming to that capture point...But no the little kiddies no all so they leave because they are like “what me defend that’s such a noob job man Im 1337” and they need to be capping flags in the heat of the battle...What they didn’t realize was the battle was about to be right where the commander told them to go...
Then again at the same time there is some really stupid commanders that will send you to a flag out in the middle of nowhere for no apparent reason and you are like WTF man....Bottom line it sucks but what can you do......

I know, offically 4 times I've been teamkilled as commander. 2 times for chewing out SLs, once for saying that I wouldn't drop someone supplies after I had fufilled 2 of their requests despite that they refused to follow my orders, and once because someone said they "Hated p***y commanders who hide and kill people with artillery" (appearantly they don't like when commander command).
Well personaly i'd say that if you refused to drop supplies for whatever reason (and they were available) then you are being a bad commander.
but really you've got to accept the fact that many don't want the commander giving them orders or for whatever reason won't obey them. (often becuse the orders are pretty unreasonable) I find that they so rarely obey them that i don't actually giver orders much. Although it is nice when you do get obeyed and they achieve an objective.
From the commanders point of view (and that of a player actually) the most annoying thing is when the players seem to totally fail to recognize that losing the base containing the UAV is a mjor disadvantage and make no attempt to recapture it.
I think if you want your orders obeyed you need to find a new server. (and when you do let me know what it is )
and in reference to the subject line... Why do experts think they have the right to tell the noobs how to play? (unless the noobs are doing something really dumb ("do I shoot the blue guys??") let them play however they want.)

This is the only reason I can think of why people bitch about "commander spam" There is a reason why the commader is spotting guys. Duh.. its so they show up on the mini map to help you kill them.
PS to the guys the bitch about the spam... I'm pretty sure you can turn down the sound level of voice.
