Considering that french fries didnt really come from France...no.

I prefer Shiraz or a Pinotage. African, Italian or Spanish origin are the best imo but there are some good Rieslings from Napa.

I have 2 bottles of the Sam Adams Utopia at home - unopened. I also have a couple bottles of the Sam Adams triple bock which clock in at 18% when they are brewed. The last triple that I opened was a couple years old and had gotten to 24%. The triple is corked and was stored like wine on the side - in the wine cellar.

The best sam adams i have ever had was a limited release last year at the Aspen Food & Wine festival - chocolate bock I think the name was. By the time I got back from the festival the brewery had sold out everything they had and said they were going to brew again later in the year - I am still on the waiting list.
      Isnt beer great

How do you know it was 24%? Did you waste some of it so you could take a hydrometer reading?

Furthermore, as far as I know, beers don't get stronger with age. The yeast converts all the sugar and will stop when it has converted all the sugar or dies because the alcohol content gets too high. . .and room temperature, the yeast will do this fairly quickly. . . no more than 2 weeks. So it doesn't make sense that letting it age would increase the amount of alcohol. . .especially by 33% (18% to 24%).

The same thing a lot of other participants do--post off-topic threads that are either fueled with more off-topic responses (such as yours) or locked/moved/set ablaze.
Are u not aware of all the Euros that plague this space?
European currency, which is stronger than the US dollar, is ruining this place? I had no idea. Still, I think you are making a typical anti-European outburst because your local redneck spitoon party mumbles the same ignorant crap between tussle sessions with your sisters.

Real, you are so bitter about something so trivial. People will find your video, especially since you posted your link to it in the other forum. Let it go. I'm sure the moderators will move someone else's video thread in the near future.

It just so happens that I live less than a mile from a brewery that friends of mine own, and where I work part time. I did not do the testing ... the head brewer did with his equipment.

If the beer is not completely filtered - yes it can still ferment with age.

PS - the only reason that it was tested was when the brewer at Sam Adams gave the 4 bottles to me on the private tour - he told me to let a few age - that "they will ripen with age" and get stronger in flavor and alcohol content. one evening at the brewery we all brought in beers from around the world we had collected and had a sampling party. i brought this statement up when i cracked open the bottle, thus leading to the test. i cannot explain it - just know what i was told and saw

                            Ahem. It's "imbecile," actually.

And just one more minor correction: the US constitution owes a great deal to French 18th-century political philosophy. Look up Voltaire and Rousseau, for example. Anyone who thinks the US came up with this democracy thingie all by itself is sadly mistaken.

And by the way? This anti-French thing is a line of ****. It's deliberately fed with lies and distortions, and gives the ignorant and stupid someone to hate.
