C'mon, guys. Like we haven't all learned by now? Buying SF is like going back to the girlfriend/boyfriend that keeps treating you like sh*t. It's like speeding down the same road that you know a cop is lying in wait. It's the equivalent of buying the same shampoo that keeps making your scalp itchy, dry, and smelling like corn.
It's EA that needs the wakeup call just as much as us. They have try after try of making good shooters, and really they should've just stopped at MOHAA. The whole BF series probably should've stopped at 1942, but then they did SWoWWII and BFV. Now they've released BF2 with a new engine, but same old EA glitches. We're on v1.03 patch and it introduces more bugs than it squashed. And now we're hoping that SF "will be the one to redeem EA"?
Be serious. We all know that we forked over $50 for BF2, have had some highlights of the gameplay, but the twitch style and "let everyone in" approach has just opened the doors to whiners, idiots, and smacktards. All boards for the game digress into chaos. The developers and coders put as much time into testing as they do considering their purchase at a vending machine. And who do we have to thank?
The customers. Yes, we are to blame. We keep enabling EA to do this. They keep hyping up another flop production, then proceed to perpetually donkey punch it into oblivion with pseudopatches until the next half-a$$ed product can be churned out in record time. And yet we don't stand up to them. Ever notice you see the EULA after you plopped down $50? You don't know what you agreed to, inevitably liberating EA of any responsibilities, until you pay. That's pretty dirty, if you think about it. But we don't. We don't think about it. We're too giddy to give them a shot "just this last time."
EA: "Come try our new l33t game! It's way better than the one we sold you before, we swear!"
Customer: "Oh, ok"
Customer plays, is severely let down, and is stuck with a $50 coaster.
Customer: "No more of that crap. I mean it this time!"

Sorry, guys, but SF sales will pale in comparison to the base game. Most of us have learned. If it wasn't for the mod community, this game would've died in August.

???? nice speech, however your little spill is not gonna keep people from buying it. BTW, how can you cast judgement on a game yet to be released? BTW, there is not one other game out there that even comes close to BF:2 with Multiplayer + vehicles. So, I would have to disagree with you that BF:2 is a flop and full of 'major bugs'. Either your computer sux or you are the pickiest person on the net.
EA will never get another dime out of my pocket....I'll wait...eventually try to torrent and crack it. If that works, then yippee....if it doesn't then I wont shed any tears over it.

meh, BF has too many vehicles. and Ive never seen a game nearly as buggy as BF2.
its definately not a flop for EA, im sure theyre rolling in money and laughing all the way to the bank, but as far as the game itself, to me its a flop.

I guess thats why there are tons and tons of full servers. Thats cool though. Thats your opinion. BTW, just curious as to why you go to forums and post in the floppy game section? Not flaming. Just asking.
