I would guess it would need a secure connection to run the game on game day? Or maybe there is a counter....either way...hacking into the pre-loaded game won't do much for your brownie points with EA. Personally, I'll wait. Another 12 days.

That's just wrong...support the developpers because they did such a great job on the patch....yes that was sarcasm. Personally, I'll buy .At this point, what's another 20 bucks. I've already purchased to copies of BF2...what's one more.

EDIT:

Reading the fine print it says this:

Install your game on release day to begin playing. A system tray reminder will indicate when game is ready for installation.

So that means it won't actually download until it's officially released. So what this basically amounts to is a pre-order of the downloadable version.

So I'll wait for my CD's to come via Fed Ex and pass on this. :)
