Dirty little trick Engineers can do to the enemy...bug???
Re: Dirty little trick Engineers can do to the enemy...bug???
The thing is that when the engy picked up his kit, they essentially "traded" kits, even though he was dead. If a teammate were to revive the dead guy, he would come back to life with the engy's kit. This has happened to many players. They are killed by an enemy, the enemy takes his kit, the dead guy is revived, but he has a kit different than his original one. As one of the posters mentioned: when you are revived, you take the kit nearest to you. The reason it's difficult to experience this is because a medic usually revives you while you're on your original kit. You revive with the stuff you died with.

It would if you were revived because by default you assume the replaced kit.

Hmmm, never heard of this before as normally kits aren't swapped in that way. He picked up your SpecOps kit when you were dead but that shouldn't mean that you get his engineer kit.
Now if you were revived by a medic and picked up his old engineers kit then *maybe* you've found a bug, but for the mines to count as yours while dead???

Sounds like a bug - I'm guessing the TKs occurred before his kit had vanished from play and the kit was maybe considered yours (as he had taken your original one) even though you were dead. I think IMO whatever assets are thrown out (c4, claymores, health, mines, ammo) should belong to the player not the kit.
