Come across a knife fight?

When you come across two people having a knife fight what do you do?

I've noticed most people will just kill me or my enemy but occasionaly they let us battle. If I come across others in a knife fight I'll whip mine out and wait for a victor. If my teammate loses I'll let the enemy recoup before engaging. Although I do understand the "Kill the enemy onsight" mentlity its rare you find someone willing to go toe to toe with a knife and a bummer to just get shot-down by his teammate that rolls up. Im not bashing anyone for killing on sight, its kill or be killed out there, just wondering what you folks do.

the worst is the teammates that run up as i'm knife fighting some guy and noob tube me just to kill both of us.

I pull out my pistol, start walking backwards, and pop him in the head a few times :) 1 kill closer to the 500 needed for expert pistol

j/k If there is a lot of action going on around, I'll usually pop a few into the enemy, since I don't want the guy to finish off my friend and then stab me in the back as I move on. If I've got time I'll wait and see who wins, if there is no one around but us... I'll join in!

We use the same principles as you do. The knife fighters honour code. Unfortunately there is nearly always someone who goes for the cheap kill as you would know. However it seems that a lot of people playing on our server lately are being honourable. If someone pulls a knife, then its not uncommon now for the opponent to pull their knife as well, but its the third party as you know that needs to stay out of it.

After I made and released my Knifing Rampage vid link: http://www.r2clan.com/modules.php?na...p=getit&lid=23 now with over 2000 downloads a lot of our regular players have watched it and all our other knifing/shock paddle vids, all available for download from www.r2clan.com and are getting into the knifing craze themselves. In the vid made by <<R2>>PSI you see we come across a potential victim, <<R2>>PSI pulls his shock paddles out and the fight starts and you can see me in the background watching and awaiting the outcome, ready for me to tag team if he died, of course he didn't but I didn't go for the cheap kill, instead I stood back and watched a long knife/shock paddle fight, with knife in hand ready to jump in.

Unfortunately we can't insist or make it a rule to not interrupt knife fights, as that is likely to get us into trouble with EA, just like the knife/pistol only servers and could mean ranked server status being taken away from us and not being able to have a ranked server again. I had to explain this situation to some of the players on our ranked server last night, who wanted to meet up for knife fights or use knife only that we couldn't do that for the above reason.

Though we as players play by the knife honour code of not interrupting a knife fight if you come across one, however like I said I can't enforce that on the server only lead by example.

Can't really say what I'd do because it's so rare to actually find a knife fight.
I can say what I've noticed though. Most of the time the guy will join in with his own knife so it's two on one or he'll just try to cap the enemy. Honestly I'd just let them be and move on, I really don't feel like getting shoot as a wait for the outcome.

Its people like you I love to stab, too much of a girl to pull your knife out, jump on our server and try that and you "WILL" get stabbed!

I let them fight it out,no big deal to me to get knife kills anymore,so i let them go at it but dont get me wrong i still love to knife a hiding sniper

I've come up against a sniper when I was a sniper too. He scoped & was trying to shoot me & I was no-scoping toward him. We were about 15 ft away from each other in one of the bases on the oil field map. We both shot about 3 or 4 rounds & then I pulled a knife & waved it around. He pulled his knife too & we started Going at it. It was great!! There was like a crowd growing around us like we were in some sort of Death Mosh Pit. Then some Dillhole shot my opponent. I told the guy that I appreciated him pulling the knife & also called the shooter a lame ass. We both laughed & when on .. That makes gameplay so cool! I will do it again anytime someone pulls a knife on me.

I whish most people did the same so many times i pulled my knife out to fight two guys and they guned me down like **** no honor.I will only shoot if I'm down to a couple bars of health I love the knife stabing at your leg,knee,head or your ass lol.Best knife kill for me was i saw a guy going up as ladder i didn't think pulled my knife jumped and sliced dead lol

Happened once on Karkand: I saw a chance for a knifing and draw it, only to have the guy turn around. Expected to be blown away, he instead pulled his knife and we had a great old time stabbing away. I won!

I have had the experience of people shooting me/opponent when a knife fight starts, bit annoy but it's fair play really. :)

i just shoot the bad guy, and move on. Thats if he is a threat to anything, but for the good of the order i would just shoot him.

I have never seen it, but and only onece have I been a part of a knife fight. It was great fun, It was Wake Island and we were capping the airfield. The Chinese weren't too happy about that, so they counter attacked. I was running by a building when some Chink turned and GP-25d at me not 3 feet away. I was out of ammo, so I resorted to my last weapon: The Knife. He saw me pull out mine and pulled out his and we went at it. Dolphin Divin and Prone Jumpun, we managed to attract a small crowd of Chinese, who, unfortuantley, got bored easily. As soon as my knife struck home, they all shot at me, but forgot that they arranged themselfs in a circle. They killed me and got 2 TKs klol
